Any news on Gwent? (self.Witcher3) [Gwent]
Rolteco
Rolteco
Its even worse because it ismt the first time they tried to fuck him up. He just got to a point that he got really really mad. Which is understandable if you get stabbed after save the very people that stabbed you
He still did a bad thing and he knows it. I dont think that killing him helps anybody
Rolteco
Reasonable crashout after someone try to pitchfork you from behind. Not my place to judge
Rolteco
"Moscow theater hostage crisis" entered the chat.

A lot of suspense of disbelief is needed on almost any game tbh.
I try to avoid ping-pong around the map (as someone said).
Currently on my NG+ I am also roleplaying a bit too. In my mind the Bloody Baron asked me to clean all of Velen from evil creatures before giving me more Ciri information. Only way I can justify doing random quests on southern Velen while I am supposed to head asap to Novigrad
Rolteco
I had no idea until yesterday on how it actually worked 😅 Just levelled it ~100 damage (from 118 to 210) on Velen, mostly on bandit camps on the western coast.
I unequipped the steel sword so it doesnt changed automatically, disabled enemy upscalling to make it a bit easier and went to town
I was softening the groups with bombs first, whriling around non-stopping and always with Quen up
When there are a just two or three enemies left, its easier to do a simple combo of
- Whirl until get full stack
- Aard so guy gets on the floor
- Trigger the finisher animation that gives an instakill
I found easier to do it against humans because there are just a ton of them, they are powerless against the Whirl+Severance combo and the fact that they take way more time to die (using the wrong blade) means that you can atually build up 10 stacks. Even if a disabled oils or didnt use decocations, a Nekker or a Drowner wont take 10 hits to die
Rolteco
Why lvl 60 thou?
I cleared the map (except water stuff in Skelligie) and got lvl 55 easily. Why the extra 5?
Rolteco
On your first run its a good idea to follow quests that are near your level
Quests that are too much below your currently level you not give you meaningful xp.
So just follow the main questlines while doing side quests at your current level. No need to complete stuff that you are suposed to do later
Rolteco
Currently I can get up to 188% with 5 decocations
Not even manticore gear needed, just all decocations and potions unlocked and all skills that increase toxicity at level 3
Rolteco
OR we could have crossbows from witcher sets. Needing only 6 from 7 possible equipaments would leave some room for unique items
Rolteco
I logged in after the remaster to clear up the map, loot and prepare for the Songs of the Past Next year.
Decided I couldnt wait and started a NG+ lmao.
Also, its fun to play more focused on the story rather then grinding, since I already have all the skills/money/gear/ingredients I need
Rolteco
Yeah, its so cool but I always drop it because its such a pain in the ass to use, needing the whole stamina bar
Rolteco
What kinda solved for me was using an older save.
80% of mutagens were gone, but the rest was enough, usijg some alchemy to switch colors
I tried loading that save, doing some stuff again (crafting gear that I wanted to BG+) and saving again, and didnt worked. It had to be an older file, for some damn reason.
Rolteco
I managed to do it with an older save. Any recent save doesnt transfer weapons and armour, but this older one does
Bugged AF... after Ive spent hours testing and crafting a new build. Alas...
Rolteco
Tried a few more things like an older save, verify integrity on stesm, nothing works...
Rolteco
I think it was just tiresome to have all the greens being just awful. So when finally seems that some reasonable people are showing up... no they are even worse smh
Thats why people are rooting for Aegon now, out of all people.
The greens already had Aemond as the psycho character
Rolteco
I have no idea if going into NG+ at level 38 is a good idea on Death March.
But if you are Not playing on DM now, starting a new game is going to be harder then just continuing to play.
So maybe just switch the difficult now, so you start to get used to it, finish the DLCs (they are not that long anyway) and do a proper NG+ afterwards
That way you will have the proper level, the proper gear and wont have any problem at all.
Rolteco
I started the books from Book 7, because I really wanted to continue the story, and I domt regret
There minimum important changes and book 7 starts after a time skip. Everything is kinda "reseted" to the same place.
You may wanna see a video or two about some changes thou, specially regarding Drummer etc.
But yeah, its perfectly fine if you just wanna ride into it. Book 7 to 9 are just so so so freaking good.
Then later you read all again 🤷♂️
Rolteco
I was going to, but I have so many POIs left to do that I am just 100%ing the map now
Then I will do a NG+ closer to the new DLC
Rolteco
Exactly, my first contact with Witcher universe was this game and the whole Yennefer thing seemed toxic AF
Rolteco
I am playing on Medium with DLSS on quality and its much better then the old version on Ultra... (old rtx 2060)
Rolteco
Does it work with Whirl?
Rolteco
I have a 2060 with and ryzen 2600 and only 16gb of RAM
When the updated launched I got insane fps drops, to 30 or less
But today it is running smooth, ~100 fps with high graphics and DLSS on quality. Obviously no RT
So they fixed something for me at least
I am mixed up sign/combat build too
But I am definitely not nerfing myself lmao. Its a Griffin 6/6 that does a ton of damage and CC with Igni + Entanglement, while having maxed out Euphoria and a ton of damage with Whirl and Resonance
The one-shot Aard build is boring imo. This is cool because I am strong AF on both. Its close to the attack power of the feline and also close to the sign potential of Aard build
I feel like a Witcher that really knows his stuff lmao
