This is a really good post for this sub IMO. But my take is that pimple patches that are bright colors and shapes are intended to help people avoid some of the shame and embarrassment around having a pimple. It happens to so many people but it is long been a thing that people are so embarrassed by. These patches help them "reclaim" the pimple for lack of a better phrase and make it not something embarrassing.

Outside of the Bay Area and LA, there are a TON of super right wing MAGA friendly areas. Most of San Bernadino county is pretty red and thats a lot of people there.

White car shouldn't have pulled out when they did I guess, but the dash car had PLENTY of time to react without needing to honk. Honking added nothing to the situation. Yes, the white car got pulled over, but it easily could have gone the other way where the white car stops, pulls out a gun and someone ends up dead. Honking solves nothing unless you're trying to alert someone of something which this person clearly was not.

Not gonna lie, this sounds like someone just got struck out by a sidearmer and is trying to make themselves feel better.

I'm sure it's explained elsewhere, but the "terrible dubbing" was because the show was originally made in Japan. They brought it to the US and cast American actors for the parts where they were out of costume but used the japanese footage for the fight scenes. The american actors dubbed in over the japanese dialog. Except for Rita, she was kept the same but dubbed in English. That's why her scenes are weird. As for why kids loved it. Kids love ninjas and robots. Power Rangers was both.

God. A good glove pop is borderline pornographic IMO.

I think Dolly Parton of rock music might be overselling it a bit. Dude is inarguably on the mount rushmore of rock drummers and songwriters, but Dolly was an icon for more than just music. Also, Neil Peart's influence from Ayn Rand was kind of sketchy.

Hurricane hitting trainer. I have four kids and, while it's not super helpful for them once they get above 8 or so, while they're still little its amazing. They can go in the yard and immediately take a bunch of hacks and get decent feedback from it. Plus the thing is a tank.

This video needs to be an hour and a half long.

sanjoatc

Good grief. So I'm just dumb. SMH.

sanjoatc

Got it. That's kind of what I thought, but it didn't make as much sense as accidentally kicking the baby in the net.

sanjoatc

Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't understand what happened at the end.

sanjoatc

This must the fifth year I've seen this exact post up. sigh

Jesus christ this post is full of the angries possible people. Yes its sad that this man's wife cheated on him and the kids are illegitimate. However, they are still his kids. He literally says he raised them and is still supporting them. Just because they aren't his biological kids doesn't mean he isn't their dad.

Ferrero Rocher. Those things seemed like they must be a million dollars.

This is such an old clip by this point. Nothing new to add.

My understanding is that when BESR went away and was replaced with BBCOR, that's when drop 3 became the rule.

sanjoatc

Wow.

sanjoatc

I mean Sanya is a major character in the book and is explicitly black. Martha Liberty (while a very minor character) is also black.

sanjoatc

Depends on where you're at. Where my kid is, they don't have to go to BBCOR (-3) until 14u, but other places start it earlier.

sanjoatc

LOL

Give that RTP for labral tears is still so sketchy, has there been any movement on recommending non-surgical protocols? Again, this has been awhile, but one theory I remember was that most shoulder injuries that were surgically repaired actually were referral from muscular weakness or poor mechanics and that any damage seen in the shoulder capsule wasn't really the source of the pain/limitation.

Americans know how to protest. They just don't want to be murdered by police for daring to do it the most effective way. Also, most of the "protests" in France have devolved into rioting and looting which actually harms the message and reduces the efficacy, but continue to shame people for making even a small effort to improve things.
