The amount of times cars, highways, plumbing, and crowds of people help get the point across....

Yea,I figure the mess is from migrations. Kinda miss it there, kinda don't lol

Lol, I know exactly what company this is... I was on the engineering team for that gear... OP was it cleaner when it was still all Cisco?

+1 here, vermaden has been an excellent resource.

I sigh at this abomination called "poe 1to2 extender"
Every person that installs this equipment, maintains this equipment, or upgrades this equipment SHOULD know that's a hapless gimmick device.....
You are probably dropping auto-neg speeds (untill you get logs... youll never know! Good luck hahahah), and because your gimmick device cheats and splits 4 pair into 2 sets of 2 pair, it freaks out when speeds change due to poor connectivity, scrappy equipment, a mouse passing on it....
Don't install cheap, gimmicky, junky, techno-garbage for anything, especially ... security cameras?

I run my wireguard endpoints on openbsd, and just about finished putting the touches on a pair of anycast caching dns servers using unbound+openbgpd. After that I'll be looking to see if I can replace alma/freeipa deployment with openbsd/ldap.
I lab at home the stuff I deploy at work.
shadow0rm
I mean... how do you think those "cloud" endpoints talk?

I'm ISP/Carrier, 38. We saw the same worry a few years ago with the big SDWAN push, and everyone worried about MPLS style stitching going away. We'll, SDWAN didn't replace much... more so added to the toolkit.

Yup, have enough battery so that you get an alert for genny running out and get your happy butt back in the car to go top it off before the battery runs out too. On-call sucks sometimes, but those night vibes were fun. People get MAD when the interwebs don't work. Nothing like nicotine and caffeine to keep people surfin the tubes lol

The person that taught me some of the foundations I have very much lived by "do it the hard way first" I probably wouldn't have chosen to do it that way, but it really gave me the ability to jump into most things of the same nature head on.
shadow0rm
Same! However, this would be a great way for someone not born of fire in the CLI to be more efficient with JunOS.
Just because I cut my teeth manually editing JSON configs on SRX, doesn't mean everyone has too lol
shadow0rm
That narrows it down to gov job or social media platform lol

Depends on where you are I guess. I switched jobs about 9 months ago. I applied at 200+ places, local, remote, you name it. With varying degrees of my core abilities. This was a mix of stuff found on LinkedIn, local places, word of mouth, etc. I've been an infra/ISP net eng for over a decade with steady work, and great references. Caveat being no professional education, all self taught. I do hold a few industry certs.
Not a single place has even got to the interview process. I made the normal followup calls, and emails. Even stopped in at a few places. Every one of them gave the same canned "we are still gathering information/clients/etc" I ended up getting s spot with a long term business acquaintance over a few beers. I'm in SE Wisconsin. I've also noticed most recruiters are a joke. One agency I gave my info to about 3 months into searching, couldn't find me anything, fast forward to a month at new place and they do a cold call to new work stating they have the perfect candidate. For the position I just filled lol So either recruiters are just buried, or ignorant.

A rock is the cheapest ive gone. If it looks stupid, but it works... is it really that stupid?
shadow0rm
Yes sir, just the mag springs. This was on magpul 10 and 20rd 308 sr25/lr pmags.
shadow0rm
Have you tried turning it off and back on again? /s
Aero m5, 24 heavy stainless, standard gas block. I just pulled spring from mags, streched an extra 0.25 inches or so, and zero failures. Had exact issues as you. Seemed to be the cheapest, least destructive, amd least invasive thing to try first, and it worked.

In 2022, while renovating the Church of Saint George Maggiore in Naples, a secret fresco was discovered behind a 16th-century painting.

500+ through a full size g3, 1 bad primer, 499+ rounds of slightly dirty 124gr down range where I wanted them.
shadow0rm
Noted.
But it took a mod 3 YEARS for a corrective statement here?
I'm never impressed with the teacher that uses their own failures to discipline the student.

They are standard pinouts... its a pretty straight-forward swap, hence the lack of detail. If its beeping, either swap in the second fan, or revert. Does it still beep?
shadow0rm
So... i called my local store since they also are always out of stock... apparently they will be until the "lawsuit" clears.
No. Please Google (CVE-2026-11405)
