Due to the addon lockdown implemented in Midnight, Details can't track buff uptime in real time. The only way to analyze this is to upload logs after the fact.

The macro you want is:
#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Death and Decay
This will automatically drop it under your feet without the need to target it.

This is probably the best source of info on the Darnassian words we do know. Blizzard tends to have reasonably consistent languages but doesn’t release them publicly except for a few words at a time.

When in doubt, always check Wowhead comments.
Looks like the drop rate is miserable and it does only come from certain mobs, despite what the quest actually says.

The beta requires an additional purchase.
When wow forever comes out in another month, you only need a subscription to play it.

Rise of the Horde is canon, except for some minor details that have been revised in the twenty years since it was published.

Levelling is much faster in the newer zones, if that’s what you care about. The old zones can still be interesting if you want to explore that specific content.

Look at the top of your quest log to see what main story quest you need to do next. If you want to go chronologically, do NOT go ahead to the quest “Preparations are complete” until you have done the earlier stuff.

Warlocks explicitly do not care about the demons under their command. There’s no specific lore about Implosion except that it shows how little the individual imps matter to the warlock.

The catch up experience is a tutorial to re-teach you the basics of the game and get you a full set of okay-ish gear. If you don’t need either of those, you can just move on. The catch up experience is always available at any time.

Without buying Midnight, a WoW subscription lets you level up to 80 and play all expansions except the current one. There’s a lot of content there, but not a lot of other people.

Housing, at least right now, is completely its own thing. You can invite people over, or you can build something amazing just for you, but it won’t make your character stronger or unlock anything outside of the housing system.
(There is a weekly quest in Silvermoon that gives you some upgrade currencies for doing things in your house or neighborhood, but it’s fairly easy to get those same currencies through other means.)

As someone who also builds character backstories just for myself, I like it. This is a solid background to your character, and I don’t see any obvious contradictions to the lore, but you end the story at year 25 when modern WoW is up to year 44. Do you plan to fill in the rest?

Double check if you have any warbound gear sitting around
Do the quests from the five rep vendors for five pieces of veteran gear
Check world quests for some basic blue items
And you can probably do delves at a lower item level than you think, especially if Valeera is leveled up

I love using my MMO mouse, but it’s not a necessity. If you enjoy consoles, the entire game is playable with a gamepad - look into the ConsolePort addon if you want.
I think things can be a little odd with hunters below level 10, but if your hunter is higher than that, summon your pet and then look in the pet section of your spell book. Make sure that “Assist” is active instead of Defensive or Passive.

Delver’s journey is not soft-capped at all, as long as you are willing to keep running bountiful delves on more and more alts. However, some of the rewards specifically say that they don’t activate until the season has been active for a few weeks.

Probably the closest thing would be tanks who focus on preventing damage versus tanks who focus on healing damage taken. All of them are somewhere along that spectrum. What sort of thing would you prefer?

It’s an item called Afflicted Soul, and it does drop from delve chests. If you use it before you start a prey hunt, it will auto-complete everything up to the final battle. Once per week per character, it will also make that battle drop an additional piece of Champion gear.

As a certified horror weenie, this episode made its impression on me. It’s not afraid to get gory, it stays one step ahead of the Starfleet crew’s deductions, and its total control over their perceptions leaves us constantly guessing about what is “real.” The entity keeps breaking the rules in ways that feel like it could almost be understood, like how La’an attacking Kirk happened in exactly the same hallway where all the prior crews attacked each other.
(The scariest moment, in hindsight, is that the entity’s “prophecy” about the eventual fate of Kirk’s son is actually completely correct.)
Indeed, with Division 12 hauling the whole thing away with no real resolution, this is as close as Star Trek has ever come to something out of an SCP. Like so many episodes of Strange New Worlds, I don’t know if this is a concept that needs to be done more than once, but I appreciate the show continually trying new things even when it’s not for me.
(However, Pike is now two-for-two this season on covering up the full story in his logs, and I’ll be disappointed if that isn’t followed up further down the line.)

No, it will be a piece of levelling gear. But once you hit 90, you will get a separate quest to complete five more dungeons for a hero piece.

Artifact Knowledge is gone, but it was set to max before it left, if that makes sense. Assume you are at whatever AK level you need and proceed to the next step of the guide.

In 2008, Blizzard hosted a short story contest for World of Warcraft. The winning story, In the Shadow of the Sun, was a fascinating explanation of the blood elf leader, Lor’themar Theron, and filled in a lot of the gaps that Blizzard had ignored at the time. Four years later, it was reposted (with only a few edits) as an official Warcraft short story, and the game has continued to use it as the basis of Lor’themar’s characterization to this day.

The latest estimates are that most DPS specs will gain about 4% damage from a full Folio.

The characters and the account are still there, but your old names were probably released so that others could claim them. If you can provide info to Blizzard about the old account, you can probably retrieve it.
