I feel like the Raiders comparison is tough as they had such a rabid fan base in California and it’s desperately missed in this new stadium.
However, considering the A’s don’t really have any fans, maybe offering cheap/free tickets on the strip to tourists might get some (SOME) butts in seats. Plus football tickets are astronomically expensive, baseball is downright pennies in comparison. They’re a young team with a lot of talent with an AL that’s kind of a mess right now, hoping for the best for the team. Also, as a sentimental Raiders fan I’m glad the teams are in the same city again.

Good for him! Will definitely have to keep an eye this year, I don’t usually pay too much attention to Japanese baseball but I love Godzilla

Went to an escape room with my friends and I had to do the rotary phone part of the puzzle because they stared at it like it was in a different language. I felt ANCIENT

What I feel like is missing in all these is how far The Academy had fallen before it closed. It’s a place I hold close in my heart but I need answers of why they stopped bringing in good exhibits? I remember the DNA exhibit and spent hours pestering some volunteer; the Climate Change Mini Golf course; what happened to the bees and the pond at Outside In? That museum kept dropping the ball and never really tried again. My best friend and I went last year during the week and it was completely empty and felt like a shell of itself. Does anyone know why?

I STILL wear a pair of Jessica Simpson platforms to weddings I know I have to dance in. Those shoes are, to date, the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned

Nice Uncle Goldy encouraging the infield and then Mean Uncle Gardy yelling in the outfield

That’s what was so fun about arr baseball discovering how great his numbers in left field was; plenty of “oh really, him?” and then you really take a look and it wasn’t until Bellinger that left field was solid again

It’s funny, the baseball subreddit was doing a ranking of best players by position and people were gobsmacked by Gardner’s defensive numbers. It warmed my heart that he was getting some love from the baseball nerds
Ambitious_Emotion30
Every time I bitch about needing a lead off bat and how hard it could it really be I remember how spoiled we were. Loved Gardy so much

I feel like the general public does not understand how hard Gardner went
