Sounds like a good dungeon to loot.

Well, if they have any nuclear material, how can the report ever say the program is destroyed? It’s always Enriched Uranium this, centrifuges that in the news. The Hanford B reactor turned 0.7% enriched uranium into plutonium 239… if you don’t care about the environment, the footprint isn’t that huge (though I think the reactor will give off enough neutrinos so we may see it with our detectors… eventually).

Everyone makes a big deal when a drone gets downed. Normalize shooting down drones. It’s a fucking drone.

Strategic Ambiguity is my new favorite term. But sometimes I wish they brought back the Dubbya writers. Strategery, a classic. We might have got something like Strambigity or something.

BootDisc

I like how the narrative is already shifting to prep for more. (/s). I don’t know how this doesn’t evolve into a ground war, but I hope I’m fucking wrong.

BootDisc

Yeah, I don’t think they moved the centrifuges. That’s a big lift. Maybe some, or pull the parts off that are extra hard to get, but you need ALOT of centrifuges.

I am more worried about the material. Did they hit mass to build a breeder reactor. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter. The side effect of the US/EU neutrino detectors is they do a damn good job seeing stationary nuclear plants.

I'm gonna go with cost. Vehicle mines work cause they are dirt cheap and mass producible.

BootDisc

Yeah, I don’t really do much tanks anymore. Just makes me lazy, and with oil always hid problems.

The only optimization for later is a shit ton of speed beacons to compensate for the output drop.

BootDisc

We are entering the perpetual 2 week state. Nothing ever happens.

BootDisc

Unclassified 60m.

BootDisc

Yeah, Hanford was getting up and running. There was only enough Uranium for the one little boy. Plutonium also isn’t feasible for a gun style, need an unobtainable speed not to just be sub critical.

BootDisc

Usually new regime has to onboard a bunch of the old regime to function. Which means not much changes for people who live there.

BootDisc

Yeah, I’m not saying we can’t do it without a ground war, but in war, it’s better to be pessimistic.

BootDisc

100% bruised. Just a blood stump. Even the bones.

I was living in Germany when Obama got elected. People thought he was gonna be the best. I reminded them, to be elected the President of the United States, you kinda have to be an asshole.

BootDisc

Clearly gay

BootDisc

Yeah, regimes changing is usually about a majority turning on some minority to keep power. Nothing much changes, probably all US wants is de nuke, and less proxy campaigns. We make some deals, they get to sell oil, but life in Iran, mostly unchanged.

BootDisc

Spooks working. That’s my theory. I don’t expect a strike, plus the sun is coming up in Iran like… soon. (Not a man made sun)

BootDisc

8 meters, more like 40, look at those people compared to the buses and buildings, they are already giants.

BootDisc

Calling a ballistic missile a hypersonic is like calling a glass of salt water the ocean.

BootDisc

It’s a lot of information to steal. Machining and manufacturing processes are a big part of it. You could even steal that and not really need able to fully replicate. So it comes down to optimizing the design to your capabilities. And the advanced designs also have neutron sources that “turn on” at a specific point in the process, which Iran probably doesn’t have much/any Americanium sitting around.

The real secrets would be South African and Israelis designs. How did they do it. I’m guessing they didn’t go centrifuges, but “acquired” something (PU, enriched Uranium, or neutron sources) allowing them to go straight to a breeder reactor and make PU.

And most our designed warheads are Uranium and Plutonium mixes to minimize fallout. But that’s again advanced design, and Iran is back on the Uranium only bootstrap phase.

BootDisc

Yeah, PU gun would be subcritical most likely.

BootDisc

I hope they leave them alone. My understanding is if they fly, they barely fly.

BootDisc

Attack telegraphed, senior Iranian leadership, goes home.
