Nu gaan de ouders ween ween als hun kind strafstudie krijgt want "mijne kleine is nen brave". 20 jaar geleden kreeg je van je ouders er nog straf bovenop.

If it's a must to use? HELL NO.

If it's an extra with advanced search and filter options and more details on the food, then yes please.

Niks van gemerkt hier

Deze post is te lang voor een Gen Z'er, kan je er anders een 3 delige TikTok reeks van maken?

Even Belgian's Luxembourg is bigger than Luxembourg

Straks moeten we nog cookies aanvaarden als we naar het hiernamaals gaan

De_Wouter

Many companies can already do this but they won't because think of the poor shareholders!

My dad's old job is now 80% automated (so people are way more productive) yet they only receive half the purchase power my dad had.

De_Wouter

No.

Luckily I don't know this for a fact and can keep working on it while being delusional enough to maybe finish it.

De_Wouter

I'll pay them after they pay me for my stolen data that trained them

De_Wouter

Not true, I paid a full 22 EUR for my ER visit for my broken ankle.

You still going to need competent developers to check the AI output but there wont be many juniors making it to senior because they will learn less and the seniors that don't adapt to high AI usage will be pushed out and those that do will burn-out.

It will be one gaint shitshow of vibe code that on the surface level looks better and better but is rotten to the core and will create hard to find niche bugs because things like code duplication...

At some point the seniors that survive can trade their soul and cash in big to clean up the mess. Same like mainframe COBOL developers now.

Just my 2 cents.

Wil je als side-effect al je medische kosten volledig op jezelf nemen?

De_Wouter

Must get on the level of the vibe coder. Imagine making an actual programming joke here, would be like making a UDP joke.

De_Wouter

Ah, I'm doing it in reverse. Sold everything and moved to SE Asia to live cheaply. So sitting at the beach hoping I'll start working on my indie game soon.

De_Wouter

Plot twist, ChatGPT just wants you to make and do these things with its "help" in order to steal your work.

De_Wouter

Yeah I'm very much aware. This answer of ChatGPT clearly takes my history with ChatGPT into account because I actually am sort of an indie developer, just not a very productive one at this point.

How to buy profitable business: be rich

De_Wouter

TEC heeft duidelijk schuld aan het onderwijsbeleid /s

De_Wouter

By not being me you already have a headstart

De_Wouter

Yes, please send help

De_Wouter

Wait, are you telling me that as a fat bald guy this doesn't look good on me? Been wearing it for weeks. At least I look taller with the heels. Woman like tall guys right?

De_Wouter

Love and hate it. I'm too perfectionistic to be a productive artist, pixelart is a good artstyle for a so-so artist who's a bit too perfectionistic to go with a feel. But then when you need to start animating... the time goes up exponentially.

De_Wouter

Procrastinating.

Aside from that, I actually like the finetuning part. What I hate most is searching bugs (until I actually find them). Having a too blank canvas is also very time consuming, I need to pin down my contrains and decide on things faster and stick with it.

De_Wouter

So I've put it in ChatGPT...

HELLO CHATGPT! HOW TO BE RICH? VERY… VERY RICH! OVERNIGHT YOU CAN GIVE ME 10 IDEAS! 50… 50 IDEAS! ZERO INVESTMENT NO RISK NO RISK! NO HARD WORK NO HARD WORK! SATURDAY SUNDAY OFF! WORLD TOUR INCLUDED! SHORT THINK FRIENDLY IDEAS BEST IDEAS! NO HURRY! TAKE YOUR TIME! TAKE YOUR TIME! DEEP RESEARCH! DEEP RESEARCH! DEEP RESEARCH! GO!

HELLO! 😎

The brutally honest answer: “overnight + zero investment + zero risk + no hard work + very rich” does not exist legitimately. Anyone selling that combination is probably selling you the product.

But if we interpret your dream as:

Very high upside + tiny starting capital + eventually low ongoing work + location freedom + weekends free

then YES. Here are 50 ideas, ranked roughly by how much I like the risk/reward/freedom combination.

🚀 50 “get rich” ideas

  1. Indie game with a huge hit — tiny team, potentially millions.
  2. Build a SaaS and sell it — recurring revenue → acquisition.
  3. AI micro-SaaS — solve one boring business problem extremely well.
  4. Mobile app with subscriptions — one successful app can compound.
  5. Steam utility/game tool — niche audiences can be surprisingly lucrative.
  6. Sell developer tools — templates, libraries, plugins, APIs.
  7. Premium Godot assets/tools — particularly attractive given your dev background.
  8. Buy a tiny SaaS, improve it, resell it.
  9. Build a niche website → SEO → affiliate revenue.
  10. Programmatic SEO business — thousands of useful niche pages.
  11. Digital products — templates, courses, assets, guides.
  12. Sell game assets — sprites, UI packs, music, shaders, systems.
  13. Create a paid developer course.
  14. YouTube automation-ish channel — research/script/editing outsourced eventually.
  15. Faceless YouTube niche channel.
  16. Newsletter → sponsorships + products.
  17. Build a community → paid membership.
  18. Niche job board → employers pay.
  19. Niche marketplace → transaction fees.
  20. Lead-generation websites → sell qualified leads to businesses.
  21. Local-service booking marketplace.
  22. Build comparison websites → affiliate commissions.
  23. Create browser extensions → premium version/subscription.
  24. Build a Chrome/Firefox developer extension.
  25. Create a profitable open-source project → commercial hosting/support.
  26. API business — charge developers per usage.
  27. Data/API aggregation service — package difficult-to-access information.
  28. AI-powered document-processing service.
  29. AI customer-support product for one specific industry.
  30. AI sales/lead qualification tool.
  31. AI content localization service → automate it heavily.
  32. Sell specialized automation packages to businesses.
  33. Productized consulting — fixed product, fixed price, repeatable delivery.
  34. Build software for an extremely boring industry. ← underrated
  35. Acquire neglected websites and improve them.
  36. Buy expired domains with existing authority → rebuild useful businesses.
  37. License your software instead of selling your time.
  38. Create an IP franchise — game → comics → merchandise → licensing.
  39. Build a successful game universe/IP.
  40. Create a viral character/mascot → licensing.
  41. Sell premium digital art/assets.
  42. Photography stock/licensing library.
  43. Create a niche travel-information business.
  44. Build a relocation-information product.
  45. Create a niche online education platform.
  46. Buy an existing profitable online business with financing.
  47. Partner with someone who has distribution while you provide technology.
  48. Build something people desperately want, then sell the company.
  49. Start a business specifically designed for acquisition.
  50. Get absurdly lucky. 🍀

🏆 My top 5 for you specifically

Given that you're an experienced TypeScript/web developer who is interested in indie games, I wouldn't recommend randomly trying 50 businesses.

I'd concentrate on:

#1 — Indie game + IP

Build something commercially interesting, but design it so the successful outcome isn't merely “sell copies forever.”

Game → community → DLC → sequel → soundtrack → assets → licensing → publishing → IP.

#2 — Tiny B2B SaaS

One incredibly boring problem.

€49/month × 1,000 customers = €49,000/month revenue.

You don't need millions of users.

#3 — Godot developer products

This is particularly attractive because you already understand the technology.

Examples:

  • dialogue system
  • quest system
  • inventory
  • save/load framework
  • behavior-tree system
  • RPG framework
  • NPC scheduling system
  • procedural world tools
  • pixel-art tools
  • localization tools

Build once → sell repeatedly.

#4 — Game + SaaS combination

Potentially the most interesting.

Build tools internally for your own game.

Then realize:

“Wait… other developers need this.”

Extract the tool → polish it → sell it.

Your game becomes your R&D laboratory.

#5 — Build something with an acquisition target

This is the most important mindset shift.

Don't ask:

“How can I make €5,000/month?”

Ask:

“What could I build that someone might pay €1–10 million to acquire?”

That changes what you build.

💰 The closest thing to your fantasy

If I had to design the “rich + freedom + world travel + weekends off” machine, I'd choose:

Year 1:
Build one tiny product.

Year 2:
Find product-market fit.

Year 3:
Automate/support/document everything.

Year 4:
Hire contractors for the remaining operations.

Year 5:
You own an asset producing cash while you're sitting on a beach in the Philippines. 🌴

Not overnight.

But that is actually plausible.

And there's one particularly interesting strategy for you:

Build a commercially ambitious indie game while simultaneously extracting reusable technology into products for other developers.

One project can therefore produce three shots at getting rich:

game revenue + developer-product revenue + valuable IP.

That's much more attractive than gambling on 50 unrelated “side hustles.”
