I hear you on the "focus on yourself" message being difficult. After this breakup, which I'm willing to look at what happened on my end to push her away, I've never walked with such immense loneliness.

Fortunately, I do have some support in a small circle. But no one that is in close physical proximity.

I'm over a month in, and the feelings of hopelessness are present every day.

I compare myself to what I believe/assume she's doing (she grew up where I am currently located, and I did not). So, often when I'm struggling to do the most basic things, I tell myself unkind statements that she is doing better than I am, and she would view me as pathetic. I'm the dumpee.
