Are we talking publicly or privately? My personal opinion is that, in reality, Farage is far further right than the electorate would generally find palatable. However, he's also a fairly savvy political operator that, having learnt from years of failures of trying to make a right wing party acceptable, has almost had some success with Reform by publicly reigning it in a bit.
Restore & Lowe I actually find more worrying in a way. At least he writes actual policies and his views seem fairly consistent. Too far right to ever be electable I believe, but at least steady and there's an attempt to actually have policies and not fag packet sounds bites that change from interview to interview like Farage.
Farage moving more right because of Restore? I can't see it. Farage would love to be more right already, but he's learnt by now that not too much of the electorate would go for it.

It started as VAW in the 1993 united nations declaration, the CPS started using VAWG in 2008, but it was on 25/11/2010 when the government first took VAW and started using VAWG to mark the international day for elimination of VAW: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/call-to-end-violence-against-women-and-girls
HaydnH
It's a baffling choice from the government, and one they still insist upon.
Well, the previous previous government, it was the con/lib coalition in 2010 that came up with it. Not sure why the current government stick with it though.
HaydnH
But you're using a SoU when instead you can use a random +1 wand instead.
HaydnH
people talking about how it's nothing to do with taxation and it's all down to either greed
Mate, their gross profit is approximately $7 billion per year. Instead of firing those 1400 people, if they changed their salaries to $5 million pa each they'd still be about breaking even.
HaydnH
Who is framing it wrongly? The government policy announcement which said that male victims were included in the VAWG strategy? Or the media writing exactly what the government said the policy was in a sensational way?
I mean, sure, we can argue that the name VAWG strategy is an odd choice given that it includes male victims, but it's just the name of the policy.
HaydnH
Ah, the person I was responding to stated that the victim knowing the perpetrator doesn't prove anything regarding ethnicity, so I provided some stats which were more concrete on ethnicity (albeit with a small sample size).
HaydnH
Sorry, I don't get what you mean?
HaydnH
Ah, thanks. I haven't played in years. Just started again as I saw a post in the this sub in my feed about the new vault so thought I'd take a look. Now trying to get the new badges, only the 1mil score and researcher to go, somehow I haven't even identified the warrior's rock lol.
HaydnH
(Not OP) It's harder with challenges on, swarm for example, if the first mob spots you before you've picked up a weapon a bunch of the high tier mobs can attack you while you're naked.
HaydnH
72% of domestic homicides are white British, which is broadly in line with 74% of the population being white British. The remainder includes white European as a majority and, yes, minorities:
I guess if these immigrants have backwards beliefs for bashing their wives, then we have to admit that we as White British also have backwards beliefs considering the stats, or at least the male ones.

Ice are very good support wands
I actually think Frost is the best battle mage staff. Zap them once to chill, then tap them and they freeze. At ~+12 staff that's not normally enough to kill mobs in demon halls, but the next hit on the frozen enemy is guaranteed and will usually be enough to kill. Even if you get swarmed, you can freeze the enemies as they arrive and then pick them off one by one.
Things like evil eyes for example, after chilling you get 3 turns before the laser fires giving you an extra step to hide or charge & freeze them.
Other staffs might be better for Yog with badder bosses though, although I'm probably going invisible and throwing potions anyway at that point.
EDIT: Actually, I'd put prismatic light in that bracket as well. The blind+cripple effects are great for evil eyes and scorpions, plus it almost makes you trap safe & finds hidden rooms.
HaydnH
Secondly, you'll want to upgrade the staff to +1 asap, since the upgrade carries over to any other wand.
You lose 1 staff upgrade doing this. If you can find a random +1 wand, you can imbue that in the staff, get a magic missile +0 wand back in return, then when you imbue a +3 wand it makes it +4 (for example) without using any SoUs.
HaydnH
I hate the way the swarm challenge works inside the vault. Oooh, I found a +0 dart... That's going to help with the 5 high tier mobs that have just come at me.
HaydnH
Too many people have immigrated to this country with their mediaeval beliefs
In ~90% of VAWG cases the victim knows the perpetrator, which is partly what this is trying to address. But hey, why don't we just focus on the minority of VAWG by immigrants and ignore the bigger picture, I'm sure that will fix it. Perhaps you should attend one of these courses to alter your "mediaeval" beliefs?

Lawyers for Jukes referred back to a previous statement: “This was entrapment over a prolonged period of time by individuals, using selective editing, who had their own agenda to discredit Reform UK.”
Selective editing? Bit rich from the people who change their story about the £5m being a gift, for security, as a Brexit reward or buying Ferraris every 5 minutes.
The apparent admission came in undercover footage seen by the Guardian in which Dan Jukes says that it is “priced in” for Farage to profit from politics.
Woah Dan, you've forgotten the first rule of Grift Club!
HaydnH
Sorry, I've obviously missed that part of the story, what are you saying happened and do we have any references to the allegations?
HaydnH
Sorry, but how did this funding cause Man City to fiddle their books?
HaydnH
Yeah, it's a loooong read, so I skimmed over some of it. But, literally the subsequent post to ukpolitics after this one is "Why Britain can’t get anything done", and here we have an example of somewhere that has actually got things done, and by most accounts fairly well. For the little criticism it's drawn? I say do more of it.

you think we cannot deport people without it
I've literally just provided stats showing that we deport ~40k per year and have only had 13 cases where the ECtHR ruled against the UK. We can deport people despite being in the ECHR.
Nine governments did try to write to the ECHR but nothing changed.
Yes, it did, it was called the The Chișinău Declaration: https://eucrim.eu/news/committee-of-ministers-declaration-on-the-echr-and-migration/
It's a blocker that we cannot remove, it's undemocratic that the demos cannot decide...
Multiple parties have the choice of leaving or remaining in ECHR written in their manifestos - you're democratically free to vote for whichever you choose.
HaydnH
I want to leave the ECHR so we can have an immigration policy based on our own morality so we have the ability to actually say "no."
As someone who wants to end small boat crossings, this is the kind of simplistic populist policy thrown around by politicians getting in the way of us from actually fixing the underlying problems.
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has ruled against the UK in only 13 deportation cases since 1980... we're currently deporting about 40k people per year, 13 cases over 45 years isn't event worth the time to debate it in the commons.
Less than 2% of applications to the ECtHR over the last decade have concerned immigration. Human rights appeals under Article 8 (right to family life) succeed in only a tiny fraction (under 3%) of deportation. What's the plan for the 98% of applications to ECtHR which aren't immigration related? You know, the rights you have?
- Withdrawing from the ECHR would not remove the UK's obligations under other major international agreements, such as the 1951 UN Refugee Convention and the UN Convention Against Torture, which legally prohibit returning asylum seekers to places where they face persecution or torture.
Deportations are primarily hindered by practical issues—such as finding safe receiving countries, processing capacity, and bilateral cross-border agreements—rather than the ECHR. Regardless of whether you think the 1 in 1 out scheme would work or not, if we revoked ECHR membership then we wouldn't even be able to trial schemes like that as being a member of EHCR is a requirement for it.

house prices actually decreased in the UK in real terms, adjusted for inflation, (about -1%), even more in London
For the year ending August 2026, average "house" prices were up 0.8%, which as you say is below inflation so cheaper in real terms. However, I put "house" in quotes there as the stats counts "house prices" as all "residences", including flats etc. Actual houses are still increasing strongly where I am in SW London, it's not really surprising as they're building a lot of flats, but next to no houses, so simple supply and demand.
Worse than that, it's written by the people defending the case quoting Guido Fawkes as a source! Have you seen a Guido "article" recently? It's usually a fantastical paragraph with zero context, that's not a legitimate source by any standard.
I kind of agree it's folly. But at the same time, if we remove the whole free speach of the internet emotion of the situation and change it to something else, I can kind of get the argument. I mean, we don't allow people to sell dangerous electrical goods, or cheap DIY installed gas boilers right? If we consider internet data as a similar dangerous product, then safety standards seems logical.
Are they going about it the right way? Probably not. Does something need to be done? Yeah, very probably. But even as someone who's been a techie since the 80s, I have no idea what the possible solution to that problem is. God knows how clueless politicians are meant to deal with it. I think I'd prefer Ofcom being given a chance to fail and then trying something else rather than just doing nothing.
