In my library we assume any dog is a service animal as long as it it behaving to the standards of one.

Same at our small library. Technically, our policy says otherwise, but we usually let it slide; you can usually tell within the first minute if the dog is going to behave or not. I love it because I am a professional dog petter. 🐶🫲🏼

Sadly, many of the senior citizens I have to help with PCs have the same attitude.
