Any revenge where the actual revenge is "then the justice system handled it" is not nuclear. I didn't see someone get beaten with a crowbar until they were crippled for life. That's nuclear.

But what about the Dufranes? You people are selfish. The Dufranes are in someone's trunk right now, and they're hungry. That's a double whammy.

Donner, search party of 6 - you can eat when you find the Dufranes.

Hot fucking diggity, the king is back! All hail Manhattan!

> implying that having an opinion is taking action

Lazy bullshit with no place here.

Shit's crazy up in the 'Bu

_sirberus_

Ya, it's a nod to a thread from yesterday that called out the format as cringey.

_sirberus_

And you're fucking late again.

Pretty sad that this was genuinely MFW I read that

Honestly this community sucks for that very reason and that reason alone. Same for r/webdev. Funny how every developer I meet IRL is a real joker but here it's like we're in a fucking meeting and we're supposed to be prim and proper. Fuck that. Don't change. Keep joking. Keep shaming them for being so serious.

Truly this is the honkest timeline.

This is how supervillains are created.

I strongly suggest that you skip reading articles when you're just getting your feet wet. Dive right in, it takes less than 15 minutes! Just npm i -D jest then spend 5 minutes getting started. Once it's wired up, run jest --watch and it'll start live reloading when you save a file. Write more tests and watch what happens!

I recommend this because it's the fastest way to close the feedback loop. You can read articles and books and never end up actually writing tests or appreciating that it can even be fun. If you just start using a dead-simple testing tool with a watch mode, you can get an immediate understanding and appreciation of the concepts.

Beyond diving into jest, I personally found Fun Fun Function's series on test driven development to be a wonderful introductions to the whys of testing in a very concrete, relatable way.

Just want to throw this out there in case it's relevant to anyone:

I am a web developer and I recently had the opportunity to interview with Amazon and Apple. I already know what the baseline pay is in my area, but I was curious about their salary numbers for the sake of negotiation, and I was disappointed in how blatantly false Glassdoor and payscale were in this regard. It's so egregious that I honestly think companies pay Glassdoor + payscale to intentionally misrepresent the numbers just so they can low-ball more people. Ex: https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Amazon-Seattle-Salaries-EI_IE6036.0,6_IL.7,14_IM781.htm

I ended up finding this site Paysa and it seems to be completely spot on: https://www.paysa.com/salaries/amazon--seattle,-wa--cl

I also looked at this onetonline site and they don't break down the roles by geographic location or seniority. Not really helpful in this field.

So I don't know your industry, but if it's software related, don't use these other sites. They seem to want you to make less money.

_sirberus_

... You lost this one decisively.

_sirberus_

It's a non sequitur.

Other redditor: "What really stuck out to me in that episode was ... 'They can't kill us all.'"

You: Ya but DAE black in America?

_sirberus_

...?

Preach

_sirberus_

Oddly it's an insult to the gf - it says she's shallow and materialistic. And on reddit that's indeed too far.

_sirberus_

whomever

_sirberus_

No.

EDIT: lol

Your note in parentheses is exactly why I didn't include him with Bernie. I agree that if Yang were better known he would also be a viable candidate as he could split the republican vote. On the other hand, and speaking frankly, I'm not sure if the country would yet accept a person of Chinese heritage as president, especially at a time when tensions with China are on the rise.

Only other notable in my book was Warren but she's really lost her luster. Her platform has utterly failed to connect with me.

_sirberus_

You mean the media isn't taking political outlier Bern Paul seriously?

But for real, democrats need to rally behind Bernie because no one else has a snowball's chance.
