I’ve tried to end my life about 10 times resulting in surgeries and icu stays. Something that helped me stay just a little longer was telling myself “i can always commit later”, “i can always sh”. You can recover from unhealthy coping mechanisms later, but you cannot recover if you are dead. My mentality is to try and find out. Let curiosity keep you alive. Np! And when referring to mecfs, I try to use the name “myalgic encephalomyelitis” or “ME/CFS” instead of just using “chronic fatigue syndrome” because using the latter often ends up in being dismissed since people think it’s “just chronic fatigue”

Am I allowed in there even if I’m not formally diagnosed?

I was diagnosed with hEDS, but I very much suspect another subtype. Ive decided to pay for concierge care, so I will try to also advocate for genetic testing since I am adopted, but there’s also known ehlers danlos in my biological family, I just don’t know which subtype. Thanks a lot for your input because I didn’t even consider mEDS due to miseducation on my part. <3

I found a private clinic in my city earlier today and I’m probably gonna go with that. There are no family doctors that are accepting new patients where I am which sucks. And my current family doctor won’t refer me anywhere

I cannot because my muscles feel like they are burning. The pain is very intense. This is not “just fatigue”. I cannot tolerate most things without getting worse. The example of me lifting up my arm, it’s because it feels as though I’m lifting weights to failure. Same thing with going up the stairs. Doesn’t help that we have a penury of family doctors here in Ontario 😭

This is rape. There should be no “forcing” in a healthy relationship. On the other hand, I’m really sorry you’re going through this, I don’t know you, but nobody deserves this. I hope you get the help you need to get out of this situation.
