I don't know why you're mentioning the TTRPG.

Steam can allow you install a previous version of the game, but the only pre-2.0 build it readily provides access to is 1.63. Other builds would require their specific package ID to access.
But, I've heard GoG allows you to downpatch at will, and to any patch you want.

Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 had Witcher 3 content at launch.
The suggestion was that The Witcher 3 had Cyberpunk 2077 related content before Cyberpunk 2077's release.
millimidget
The witcher 3 connection was in the game before cyberpunk 2077 came out
Was it? I thought it was added with the Next-Gen Update, patch 4.0.
Or is this like the "Demiurge," that was allegedly added into Cyberpunk 2077 sometime around patch 1.5, which also added the apartments and their mini-statues, but was only available as a datamined asset.

Are you shooting the enemies or their bikes? You need to shoot their bikes.

V doesn't have a BD rec implant.

There's a sticky thread with the 2.0 solution. It sounds like that's what you're looking for.

The unsolved part is the 1.0 solution, if there ever was one.

Just the string?

Nothing of interest is up there. Just the AV, and a section of rooms used for the I Fought the Law braindance.
millimidget
but would that be considered the 'correct' setting for a peak brightness slider?
I have my doubts about those results, but if true then 1200 nits would be the best choice.

What do you see as the mystery?

I then noticed that now there's this pink/magenta blob thing that slides up and down next to the light coming out of the pyramid's capstone.
Except it's blue.
Is there a way to get to cyberspace with a 50% bond level?
That's a good question. I know at least one poster on here is convinced that an exactly 50% relationship is important, but I don't know that they've ever provided a map for achieving this.

Based on common calibration charts, I understand that 17 clicks correspond to a peak brightness of approximately 1,300 nits.
If the display was actually that bright, then Philips would list the brightness in their specs, as it would be a positive selling point. It would probably also be rated for HDR400, or possibly even HDR600. Again, these are major selling points; their absence is consistent with the review I linked. I'm going to assume that you have other processing effects enabled, and which are throwing things off. That's not at all uncommon, to the point that some brightness controls may be enabled and outside your control.
Plus, a quick Google search for PS5 HGiG HDR calibration returned an AI response citing outlandish values such as 4000 nits, which is in the realm of professional displays and way higher than typical home displays. I have to question what the story is regarding the "common calibration charts," and whether all of their values are wildly overstated.

Season 1 was. Season 3, not so much. We know the story was changed in response to viewer comments/fan theories, particularly between Seasons 2 and 3; I'll always wonder just how much it was changed.
millimidget
Yes.
And there was a time the insults used wouldn't get locked in until you had been seen, meaning that for as long as you could get through content without being seen then the NPCs would use incorrect gendered insults.
And when I say seen I don't mean detected, I mean seen.

It seems difficult to find information about the Philips OLED TVs. Philips neglects to include important information about brightness and color depth in their documentation, either on their website or in their documentation.
Not that I searched long, but I was only able to find one review for a Philips OLED TV; it's for a model exclusive to the US, and is the only OLED TV Philips sells in the US. I assume that's one reason why reviews are scarce; only European outlets are likely to review them.
If your TV is anything like the US-exclusive one, then the outlook is grim. Poor brightness and middling color quality make the US model a bust.
On the basis that Cyberpunk 2077 is looking for the displays absolute max brightness, even though it's only achievable across a small portion of the screen and/or for a short period of time, then the US version caps out at ~540 nits. I'd recommend playing with either 480 or 560 nits, and determine which one looks best to you.
For paper white, I always recommend the lowest multiple of 80 the setting will allow, which is 160 nits.
For the midpoint setting, I've come back to a setting of around 2.0. That said, I recommend disabling all of the visual processing the display itself is doing. You might try re-enabling processing effects one at a time after you've managed all of the signal-related settings across the display, the source (ie the PC/console), and the game.
Here's a detailed review of the US-exclusive model:

And, here's a link to your display's user manual:

You're probably killing at least some of them. Non-lethally neutralized enemies die for all sorts of reasons, and sometimes for no reason at all.
millimidget
It's not like the superior pre-2.0 system let you stack BiS for every slot.
Also, there's apparently a bug which causes cyberware capacity shards to stop dropping in base game content.

You need to find ways to limit yourself so as to introduce challenge.

I've never played NMS, but it sounds like it's a much strong contender for "greatest comeback in gaming history."
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is another one, though its an MMORPG and not just an RPG.

Imagine if Crysis had marketed itself as being playable on last-gen hardware when it released, instead of openly embracing the need for current-gen if not next-gen hardware.
Cyberpunk 2077 was already excellent if you had decent hardware in 2020. If anything, it got worse over time if you had decent hardware, as the game was increasingly "optimized" for consoles it should never have been sold on.
Most of the "game was saved" narrative relies on returning players bringing better hardware than they used originally.
Why? Are you familiar with the FF:06:B5 reference in The Witcher 3? They seem to be suggesting that this reference was in The Witcher 3 before Cyberpunk 2077's release, except it was added to The Witcher 3 with patch 4.0, the Next-Gen Update. Much like they insist that the "Demiurge" was available prior to 2.0 but without providing any proof.
