you could visit the end of the observable universe

You most certainly can not, unless your premise implies you can travel faster than light.

The very definition of "observable universe" is the distance light has traveled since the beginning of the universe - at light speed. Since you cannot go faster than light, you will NEVER reach the end of the observable universe. It will always be out of reach, as it moves away from you faster than you can possibly move.

I didn't really change what I ate, I just counted calories and ate less as a result.

I saw myself "spending" the calories on food, and calorie-dense carb-heavy foods naturally became less and less appealing to me. I haven't drank soda in years, and HFCS makes my stomach turn now. Cut down on carbs a lot - not because carbs are bad for you, they're not, but I could eat so much more in vegetables, rice, and chicken.

Statistics say otherwise. The baseline for physical punishment in the US has fallen from 77% to 45% since the 1970s.

This is why I'll always wait for police, even if both cars are fine. Too many people willing to commit insurance fraud.

My mom slapped the fucking shit out of my face when I was 5 years old because I said "hell". Right on my cheek, I remember it still, my ears were ringing.

I was imitating her, she said it all the goddamn time.

Kids don't forget.

Both are very common names to me Northeastern US.

"Stella" is a little old fashioned and "Sienna" is a little obscure, but I wouldn't think twice if introduced to either one.

Ask him to play air guitar.

Pay attention to what hand he uses.

All these maps are made up.

It doesn't even make sense to use county lines.

I have heard "Peter is slang for penis" but i have never actually heard Peter used as slang for penis. I'm in my 40s.

I don't change anything, ever. It's set to heat/cool 68-72. It just keeps the house in that range.

You're asking about employment contacts, which MOST people in the US do not have. Mainly public workers have employment contracts, like teachers and police, but not regular white collar office workers. Most states have at-will employment, which means you can quit at any time without penalty, or be fired at any time.

But then you listed a bunch of "contractor" careers, which is not the same thing. Contractors work on a project basis for their clients. I think you might have your terms confused.

Mannington. I do recommend that anyone considering LVP should go for the higher price point. The stuff at the big box stores sucks.

I love my LVP. My house is slab on grade. My kids and pets and furniture have abused the shit out of the flooring, and it's held up amazingly. It looks good, it's waterproof, indestructible, and cleans up easy - with the caveat that it does not convincingly feel like wood.

In my story only nobles have last names, and I went about 80k words without introducing any nobles, so it didn't come up until then.

The script was great. Really captured the feel of doing a campaign with friends. I even cried a bit at the end. Dad-daughter stories always get me.

I used to take 30 flights a year for work. What's so bad about EWR, you ask?

I hate the 2 hour drive. I hate the parking lots there. I hate that every gate at every terminal is a restaurant. I hate the air train and the parking shuttles. And I hate that goddamn 2 hour drive.
