It’s going to happen everywhere eventually. We are just in the acquisition phase for a bit. Growth will slow and the only way to increase revenue will be to raise prices.

I need to make my own post looking for advise; but not great. Set it up over 5 hours yesterday started with getting 100k requests in 30 seconds, booted malicious device off the network, then had 100k over 5 hours. General slowness and timeouts with dns requests and broken websites.

Edit for clarity: no don’t think it’s the software fault. Think it pointed out a bunch of issues I was blissfully unaware of and some part of me wants to go back to the simpler time of ignorance.

Coming back to this again; still no issue. We are using hotel mode so experience with apps is a little limited, but picture quality and responsiveness has been great

Came to say this.

The one thing I regret is not spending money on monitors. Idk what it is but I look at the price tags on the monitors and I start rationalising not spending.

Yeah nice. Sorry for all the questions. Been thinking about similar but no planner atm.

remote_ow

Hey mate looks good. Couple questions: Why did you choose to do the glue block top? Are you planning on adding dog holes? How did you level the top?

remote_ow

Sorry to necro your post but just checking in on how it is going.

Client calls 5 min later asking where they were, meant to be here an hour ago.

Can you fix their printer to?

When doing phone support telling someone to click the save icon is universal. Yeah it’s outdated, but as others have pointed out, change for the sake of change is just going to upset customer base.

Every rental and house I have ever moved into I’ve had the taps replaced with 1/4 turn taps. No need to have the standard screw types here.

I did just re-read your message and your initial motivation to delete or disable junk folder. I wouldn’t look to disable it because it likely has references to that folder within the program and you are likely to find bugs and issues.

Transport rule to bypass spam filtering will mean all emails are delivered to inbox, except phishing emails (I’m 99% sure, I’m not going to test this you can let us know), which is why I originally mentioned that you will need to adjust your phishing policy.

I’ve had this issue as well but not isolated to tv. Happens on all devices sans iPhone.

Once had a GA breached for client tenant. The attacker didn’t actually validate the role or anything, so instead of doing any real damage they just did the usual setup email forward and sent spam.

Even better was it was an accounting pc, tons of pii and CC details. We offloaded the ir and got the most boring report back. Still, boring is good.

remote_ow

Haven’t had issue.

remote_ow

This is a bad idea. Education for end users to learn new processes that are there to protect them. That being said the answer is probably disabling your phishing policies, create a mail rule that marks all inbound emails spam filter level to -1. You should be able to wildcard the sender address

I’ve moved to recommending people start using web apps only wherever possible. There are limitations for macros but with power… something (new vba for excel) you can do some pretty cool stuff without needing installed progo

remote_ow

I know you said ram base speed but confirming no xmp enabled or anything?

remote_ow

This is the answer. Also 5gb free OneDrive is standard. Also also: online versions are free, but I think you have to use edge.

remote_ow

Never had this issue myself, but run in corp environment

Thing that gets me about it all, is it feels like it is either a reskin of old, or is a new skin that uses a new api to interact with the old api. All of the new functions feel slower compared to old azuread.

And then of course there’s the fact that edge doesn’t work well with all the admin centers. Some just flat out don’t load like the partner center. I have to go and open those in chrome.

If it is just a landing page start an aws account and spin up your own lightsail instance. I would say it’s about a 6-7 on the difficult scale, easy if you have worked with Linux and have fundamentals of dns. Cost is set per month and can get bigger plan easily without much hassle

In Australia you need to be paid x% above your highest paid tech you are in charge of. At least that’s how I’ve been paid in the past.

Also 70k is about where I was in my last position in MSP looking after 3 senior and 4 junior. In addition to those I was also heavily involved in managing the sales team, but that was because they kept handing me badly quoted jobs.

Hot take to post on your main account.

I want to use Firefox, but I ran into major road blocks when I tried switching. Video streaming was an issue as well as some 365 stuff I think. It was like 12 months ago and I didn’t document what I was having trouble with.
