I agree completely. It's the stereotypical magical black character who is only there to save all the white characters and isn't allowed to have any storylines of their own.

Not really. I love Rin/Belle as a character and really like her in that role for all the same reasons why you prefer Akira/Wise. Because she isn't the normal fit and would usually be the side character to Akira/Wises more shonen protagonist vibe. He's the safe option or the one that a large majority of players probably picked.

Maybe the female version has a different performance to the male. because i played it as my character as female and her voice and just the nature of her role in the story. it felt like she was just a arrogant piece of shit no matter what choice you made.

I think your on to something with the Bully idea and funny enough thats exactly the type of system I thought the game was going for initially and was really disappointed when it wasnt.

But yeah the vanilla thing is exactly what i mean by how it feels like a old cash grab game dusted off. the plot of nonsensical and boring. its those usual cash grab plots where its like "we have to hit x, y and z while getting to this object at the end of the room that is initiated by a wide screen cutscene".

Your definitely gonna want to save. Though in my experience I have had wild luck with the engine banners. You can't pick it. my last engine pull was nangong and I got her engine in the first pull.

This version I call her the "Smallville, Lex Luthor" version of Chris. In Smallville, Lionell was very much of the Machiavelli school of teaching of win at all costs.
