This was a strange conversation but one time I was talking to a woman in a nursing job and she just casually asked me if my husband beat me. Then she seemed very confused when I said no

thelumpybunny

There was no female crash dummies until the 90s either. It seems like such a simple thing but even car safety was only a concern for men

thelumpybunny

I would save so much money even with 50% of my paycheck going to taxes. Right now basically my entire paycheck goes to daycare and medical bills

thelumpybunny

Lol, I pay 2,000 a month for daycare in a low cost of living area. It must be way higher in a big city

My favorite posts are when literal children are posting on the sub. #notlikeotherkids

My daughters don't need bras yet but I don't see how bras are any different than other clothing items. It's my responsibility to buy them shirts, pants, shoes, and all undergarments. I wouldn't want my kids wearing the wrong size clothes. Also it's not something worth discussing with other people. Basically every woman wears a bra. I also wouldn't gossip about my kids buying clothes in general because it's not anyone else's business. The exception might be if they find a really good deal and I need to brag about that

thelumpybunny

That's a nice idea and all but those socks from the dollar store suck. At least give the homeless people nice socks for their feet.

Plus when you get older, it's harder to judge people's ages. Teenagers and college aged people just look like babies

thelumpybunny

It's like these people don't even live in the real world. I look really young for my age and most people think I am about ten years younger. It's literally never been an issue besides getting IDed more. And when I go to playgrounds, no one cares if men are with their kids. My husband has had nothing but compliments from people when he takes the kids places.

thelumpybunny

Dogsitting for two weeks a lot to ask for someone. On top of that, OOP wants them to force everyone else to make other plans for the kids. No one is obligated to help out. The entitlement

thelumpybunny

This probably won't be very inspirational but my daughter just never took a bottle. We were in the same situation and it just never got any better. She is currently two and is doing a lot better with feeds but she still has a g-tube. She loves chicken nuggets, cheese, Cheetos and drinking water out of a cup. She hates anything with a wet texture so we are having problems with fruits

thelumpybunny

That's exactly what I was thinking. Most college aged boys will avoid young girls on purpose because they don't want to be called a creep. There is no winning with some people

thelumpybunny

That lady is just obnoxious or likes to cause drama. How dare a teenager hang out in his own house and ignore middle school kids.

thelumpybunny

That's exactly how I felt about cloth diapers. I really wanted them to work but it was so expensive to buy the brand I liked, over 10 dollars a diaper. And the diapers get used faster so I would need at least 10-15 of them

thelumpybunny

I wanted to cloth diaper but trying to start up a collection was actually expensive. The diapers are at least 10 dollars a piece unless you get the ones that require extra work. Baby clothes are super hit or miss. Sometimes I can get them as low as 25 cents a piece at a yard sale and sometimes I have to buy clothes at full price.

thelumpybunny

My two biggest expenses for my kids right now are daycare and medical care. Daycare is 2k a month and I pay about 250 a month on my payment plan. I guess I could stay home and let my kid starve to death because she has a feeding tube

thelumpybunny

I don't have an excuse. I just don't want to breastfeed again. And at this point I don't care what benefits breastmilk has. I am sure that McDonald's I fed my kid is frowned upon too but no one guilt trips about that

thelumpybunny

I am still a little salty about the way the LC talked to me when my first was born. I had no issues with multiple ones afterwards but that first one still makes me mad

thelumpybunny

She seems to treat her kids like cats so that checks out. But seriously, she should have been childfree because she does not like kids and it's obvious

thelumpybunny

I read it at the normal pace and didn't notice any real difference.

The videos never show the really bad side of these diagnoses. Even the people that swear they have DID never seem to struggle with keeping jobs, keeping friends, staying in school. They never hurt themselves when they fall dramatically to the floor. I have never been tested so I don't want to claim I have ADHD but some days I just want to cry because there is so much I want to do but I just get overwhelmed. My house is a mess and everytime I start a project, it never gets done

thelumpybunny

That's how I feel about anxiety and depression. It is a mood that everyone gets but most people can shake it off. It's annoying that people compare normal moods to actual mental illnesses. It becomes GAD or MDD when the person can't turn their moods around by walking or meditating or whatever people think will stop the anxiety or depression

thelumpybunny

I am more concerned that I recognize the background in the second picture. I really hope I don't run into them one day

thelumpybunny

I was hoping the older woman would come over to watch the kids.

thelumpybunny

I just wanted to add to you that you are in the hardest part of parenting. It will get easier as your baby gets older
