It's not that

People say he's fake because he's not as "real" as other superstars. Start naming top players right now who didn't have some hardship they had to go through or who didn't live in a tough area.... I'll wait.

Curry, and this is funny when I think about it, is like the one black dude who doesn't act like he's from the hood so everyone is like "you ain't a nigga [like us]"

Curry was pretty much prepped all the way for this simply because of who his dad was. You look at KD, LeBron, Wade, Rose, and them and you see guys who really only had basketball as their only option in life. But I'm pretty sure Curry would've been just fine if he didn't make it into the league

So that's why people see him as fake. It's because, by comparison, when looking at his entire life (so far), he just had happen to have it easier. And I think that's something that's hard for people to swallow. Hell, it even bothers me sometimes, but it is what it is.
