I've the strange problem that the image app is not showing (and backuping!) all pictures (screenshots above: Google photos: 2 pictures, immich: 1 picture). What is happening here?
When using a file manager, both files are there.
Anyone an idea?

Edit: in the immich app I've the message "No key available for value id - 9" - don't know if it's related.
I had a similar issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, it's very likely that your phone/app created a secret blacklist like mine did. Don't worry, you won't lose anything and anything that's already uploaded won't get uploaded again.
Thank you. This time I noticed one (at least) pictures not getting uploaded. I wonder what will happen in the future - when some images randomly not getting uploaded, how can I notice?
I'm not sure, you'll just need to keep a close eye on it. Personally, I haven't had an issue since reinstalling the app so you should be fine now, but remember Immich still isn't in a stable state so if you continue having issues and none of the maintainers can currently help you, you might want to look at a more stable solution.
I assume your app is on the latest version? Please try to log out and log back in, we fixed this issue in the latest release
Wow, that one was strange. Yes, newest version. After logging in again I saw the missing picture for some seconds, showing as not synced. Then it vanished again.
I upgraded the server from 106.3 to 106.4 and logged out and in again. For some seconds I saw this again.

It will take time for what? Syncing? The strange thing is that the picture disappears after a short time! So it somehow forgets that there is one picture more on the smartphone than the server.

Did you recently get a new phone and transfer everything over to it ? I think that's what my issue was and when I logged into immich automatically it was looking for photos from my old device. I had initially tried reinstall and the issue persisted. I eventually manually updated some photos off Google photos into immich. But today I just did a simple log out then log back in and I saw all my photos were already uploaded and the missing ones were there in addition to the ones I manually uploaded. Weird bug.

Got it working again! I cleared my Google Photos Cache/App Data which initially did not appear to have any affect. I then went and cleared immich's cache and storage from the devcice. I then restarted my Immich docker-compose stack.
For anyone who finds this in the future, I had this issue after transferring to a new android phone.
Check everything (app and server) is on the latest version first, then clear the app's data and cache. Reinstalling doesn't seem to clear the cache, so the issue persisted for me. Only after clearing data and cache did the app detect all the images in the selected backup folders.
I'm having this now, but the fixes listed do not help. Both server and Android client are up2date, v1.124.2.
Cleared cache and force stopped the app, then logged in again. Not all images are detected (specifically ones taken shortly after each other (no burst shot though)).
Maybe Immich is detecting those as duplicates...in the backup page the Total says 'All unique photos and videos'. I noticed a couple of my close but not true duplicates aren't counted sometimes.
Experiencing the same with server and app on latest v1.130.2
Logged out/in. Also reinstalled.
Tried logging in via cloud flare tunnel. Tail scale, VPN and local Wi-Fi IP. All same issue. 2 different phones. All latest IOS and app OS.

I have the same problem, the immich android app seems to only see 90% of the files.
idk if coincidence or not, but I think this problem happens more often, if I take multiple pics in a row.
Example: I take 1 pic and put my phone away again, it's in the app and synced. I take 10 pics in 1 min, keeping the camera app open, only half of them show up in the immich app, all other apps see the files tho.
What's strange tho: the number of files in the camera folder, that the immich app shows when choosing what folder to sync, is correct.
I have this problem for a few weeks now, though a few versions off the app and server.
Pixel8a, immich docker on unraid, both kept up to date.
