Trumpeter 1/48 CH-47A Chinook!

Please pardon some of the poor photos, I just got a camera and I'm definitely still learning lol.

I'm super happy with how this turned out! After researching and finding references I realized I wanted to try my hand at a heavily weathered Chinook, and took inspiration from a lot of the more worn down ones I found.

Thank you!! There was a reference photo I found of a chinook on tarmac that had similar paint chipping/fading on the United States Army text like that, if you look up CH-47A on Google it'll be one of the first photos. I'm not 100% why the text was doing that, my best guess is is that they painted the text over with black paint, and the original text was in white and the paint chipped away to the original colors!

I am reluctant to build my helicopter models for fear of breaking off the rotor blades.

Model looks amazing!

Thank you so much!! I'm incredibly proud of this one haha

And that's a fear I definitely can understand! Thankfully for this kit the blades and hub are very solidly built. I made these ones so the blade assembly are removable for moving, which isn't always an option for every kit

Really great work! I love the chipped stenciling and subtle green paint shades.

Fantastic job! Bet you lost a little shelf space with this build.

Haha thank you so much!! And I was actually worried about that when bjildingnit, thankfully the layout if the wheels allows it to sit pretty far back and only have a little of the front stick out!
