My wallet hesitated, but my brain said yes
I pre-ordered the game to get the Deluxe specialties and play a day early. I love IOI and have played every Hitman, especially 3. I can’t wait to play and the game looks AMAZING.
I love James Bond, I used to know all of the actors, in which order the moves were made and all of the antagonists as well, when I was a kid.
My grandpa introduced me to the Roger Moore Bond films on VHS in the early 2000’s, and then my dad had me watch all of the Pierce Brosnan films just after that time as well on DVD.
I bought the First Light DualSense Controller because unfortunately my original controller I received with my Disc-PS5 in late 2021 has just started to very slightly deal with stick-drift on the left-stick. I have a PS5 Pro I bought in early March (before the insane price increase thank god), and wanted to assure I had adequate means to play.
I do have a midnight black (or just black? I’m unsure what they were called back in late 2021) DualSense controller that works great still, but I figured why not celebrate James Bond the way he deserves with the cool new Gold DualSense made for First Light.
I do plan on sending in my OG controller for TMR sticks but I’ve spent enough money as is with these purchases.
What’re your favorite Bond Movies? And who’s the #1 James Bond for you (cinematically)?
My number one is Sir Roger Moore, I know he’s seen as more light hearted in the sense of joking around compared to Sean Connery, but I just love the Moore/Bond films.
My favorite films (in no particular order): The Spy who Loved Me, GoldenEye, Goldfinger, and Die Another Day.
(I used to sit and watch Die Another Day with my dad when I was young and thought it was the coolest movie, obviously not up to par with many Connery/Moore films but the sentimental value means more than anything; along with watching the VHS tapes of Moore/Bond movies with my grandpa when young).
My favorite Antagonists: Jaws, Oddjob, and Agent 006. (I’ll never forget the pen clicking part by the desk guy haha).
Edit: I’m a physical copy kinda guy but majority injured my spine not long ago and the ability to just pre-order at home instead of try to make it to the store was unfortunately the case this time around. Nothing against digital game buyers! I just love the case and disc.
Edit edit: *majorly injured my spine lol, not majority injured.

Hooray! I’m also so stoked for this and can’t wait to play. I too owned many of the VHS tapes and would watch them religiously. Minus murder and misogyny, I think 007 influenced a lot of who I am today with style, confidence, and more. But I digress.
Casino Royale is my all-time favorite. I love all the Bonds but Brosnan and Craig lead the pack for me. What I really enjoy about the variety is there’s an era or tone that can fit any mood. I rewatched TMWTGG recently to get hyped for the Legacy edition. While you can’t take the golden gun out of its display, it’s not a deal breaker for me as it’ll join my various other 007 collectibles.
I played most of the games, primarily TWINE and Nightfire for the multiplayer. Everything or Nothing is my probably my favorite; it’s just so replayable! And obvi GoldenEye but I was a little too young to appreciate it when it first released.
Anyway. Salutations from an avid Bond fan. I enjoy engaging in 007 talk and hope you enjoy First Light! ✌🏻😊

Nice man and I had no idea you couldn’t take the Golden Gun out of display haha darn! Funny how that movie, TMWTGG is critically considered one of Moore’s worst, but I remember watching it as a kid and thinking the tension was immense and thought the Golden Gun was so cool.
I was fortunately just old enough to play GoldenEye (at my Dad’s house hahah not my Mom’s) and put HOURS into it. Too many for how old I was. And then as an elementary student Nightfire was it for me, I’d play local multiplayer with friends or my brother and had so much fun.
Actually the last Bond game I specifically remember playing was on the Wii, and I cannot remember what it was called but I know it was based on a Daniel Craig movie or his likeness. Idk younger me thought it was great to aim the weapon with the Wii remote and crouch under walkways and whatever that game had me do.
I absolutely enjoy engaging in 007 talk as well! I’d love to read Ian Fleming’s novels (idk how many there are, if every movie is separately based off of one of them that corresponds to said film, or if Warner just bought the rights and said “off we go making a brand of movies on 007” haha.
Hope you have a blast playing as well brother!
(Btw I was reading about who they plan on running the next Bond as, and a few names came up. One was the kid who plays Spider-Man, I was like god please no. Another was Jacob Elordi (just starred in the new Frankenstein, such a good movie if you haven’t seen it yet) and I honestly hope it’s him. But the more I read the more names I see so I have no idea but Elordi’s name keeps popping up so he’d be cool. I think he’s like 6’5” so that’d be a tall-ass James Bond haha)
