Sand, dirt, or salt problem

I need to determine who to call about the issue. Is it a problem for the group that cleans my pool or the pool itself?

There constantly seems to be what looks like sand in the pool. Pool is cleaned professionally weekly. Salt water fiberglass pool.

We run the robot daily abc by the next day it’s like this again. Is the salt not dissolving? Our filter is not a sand filter. Cartridge filter.

There is construction in the area but not next door. It’s down the street. Like 2 blocks away.

Not sure where to start on possible causes or who to call.

Your not adding salt rite? Not a sand filter rite? That leaves the pool itself, is their any way to remove same of the junk that's on the bottom for a closer look?

I’d try to identify the material before blaming the robot or calling anyone. Since you have a cartridge filter rather than a sand filter, it isn’t sand being returned from a damaged sand filter.

The nearby construction would be high on my list of possibilities, especially if this is very fine material that keeps settling back out after the pool is cleaned. I wouldn’t assume it’s undissolved salt just from how it looks.

One simple test: collect a little of it from the bottom before the robot runs and see what it actually feels like. If it’s gritty, powdery, slimy, etc., that gives you a much better clue. Also note whether brushing it creates a cloud that later settles again.

If it keeps returning that quickly, I’d also check the cartridge/filter and water chemistry rather than assuming the robot is failing. The robot can remove settled material, but it won’t fix the source if new dust is continually entering the pool or if the material is related to a water/filtration issue.
