At first it seems like a bad idea with it cramped interior. But then you remember how narrow streets can be in Italy and this actually makes sense.

That specific one is from Lucca, and there is a top gear episode where the 3 guys are challenged to drive from the central plaza to the outside.

And yes, they got stuck on some of the narrow streets.

That’s a great episode. I know exactly the one you mean and if I recall correctly, May brought the correct car rather than Clarkson in his Italian supercar

There were no supercars in that one. They did a trip through Italy in hatchbacks.
