They were suggesting (as a joke I assume) using firecrackers tossed in the water to stun the fish with the concussive force and then scoop them up with a net. It's illegal everywhere I know.

lol i googled m80 fishing and the results were clear fishing line :)

These are the ones that he means, but the name "M-80" is probably like "cherry bomb" and gets used for all sorts of other things. I can see how it would be confusing if you're not from the USA lol. Happy fishing! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-80_(explosive)

Hook organization tip: string them on safety pins. Life changing tackle box improvement :)

good idea :)

Along the same lines: 1 filet knife and a decent $10 aluminum pliers(at least get needle nose pliers) will get rid of all the knives, scissors and bulky wide jaw breaker pliers. It looks like your Plano case is the same size of your ruler, get a measuring tape ruler sticker and stick it on the tackle box. I really despise carrying stuff.

I love having a pair of small scissors, especially with me using braid. A small pair of scissors come in very handy.

I use a backpack to carry pliers, scissors, folding filet knife, weight scale with a fish gripper, a couple lights, orange beanie, water bottle, and lastly a shit ton of takle. I have all this in a bag and it only weighs 23lbs, it really doesn't feel like to much being in a backpack I hiked a couple miles over steep forest terrain with no problems. I love the backpack compared to a hand held takle box because it holds triple the amount while feeling a tenth of the weight.

ps: i have a 210cm lightspin and a 360cm "zapfenrute" sorry my english is not the best :)

I like to pre-tie leaders and store them on sections of pipe insulation. Storing pre-tied leaders speeds up your day and eliminates the need to organize hooks.
