2023-2025 Audi A4

What are y'all's thoughts on the 2023-25 Audi A4's? Quiet cabin? Good options? Comfortable ride? Looking to trade in my Genesis G70 for something more focused on comfort.

I’d go drive one to be sure it’s right for you, but yeah they are solid. Comfort over performance, but still pretty decent performance.

I have a 2022 Genesis G70 sport prestige which is the top of the line but holy hell. I feel like they sacrificed a lot of comfort for sport. The leather seats are beautiful, but I don't think I've sat in a more uncomfortable driver's seat in my 20 years of driving

Even an S4 is very comfortable, so I don’t think you’ll have a comfort issue. Those seats are fantastic. The A4 seats are very good.

The S4, S5 and RS5 are similar to your current “Sporty” ride, you can feel a pencil on the road in these, the A4 is more of a luxury ride, but some higher end models use air suspension which feels very luxurious

I appreciate the feedback. I've been trying to find Prestige models but really to no avail. I see plenty of Premium Plus 45, however. What's the difference?

Prestige has hands free parking, traffic sign recognition, heated rear seats, lots of the highest technology available right now but honestly more stuff to fail.

Performance wise no different to the premium plus. Prestige just has a few more luxuries, interior lighting package being one.

Make sure it’s a 45 prestige.

I can't seem to find any anywhere. No joke. Used, at least. I guess people like em?

45 prestige has a bunch functions. First of all the motor is better than 35 and 40. Ride quality with active suspension (dampeners I think) is pretty good. Quattro AWD is pretty good. I think it is Torsen on my 23 Allroad prestige which makes it planted during regular drive. Haven’t faced sketchy situation. My prestige also came with ventilated seats, auto parking, HUD, interior lighting. Try to drive an S-Line A4. It has got plenty of power and power delivery is pretty good for a 2.0l.

Thank you!

Make sure to avoid the sport suspension, bigger rims, etc.

Have you considered a Q5? The way the industry has gone, everybody who wants comfort gets crossovers, which means they make the sedans more sporty, etc. Vicious cycle.

Not really an SUV guy. What do you think of the A5?

VivienM7

I get that, but... as I said, the industry trend has been to just make sedans sportier and sportier and sportier with each generation. That, of course, drives more non-sporty sedan buyers to crossovers, creating a vicious cycle.

I had two A4s, both reflected an attempt to get the least sporty configuration. Loved my 2017 with the base seats; the 2020 with the "comfort" (read: sport) seats just felt... firmer... on the road.

I did look at the G70 in 2020, I liked Genesis (my dad had a first-gen 2009 Hyundai Genesis 3.8, great car, great value), but the steering was just too heavy and BMW-like compared to my Audi.

I would never consider the A5 for a simple reason: the suspension is lower. I always thought my base suspension A4s were maybe... 1 cm... too low compared to what I thought a non-sporty sedan (e.g. my dad's 2009 Genesis) should be. The A5 or the sport suspension lowers by another 1-2cm, IIRC.

I own a truck, as well. I have no need for an SUV. I understand the sentiment. It just doesn't make sense for me, and I've never liked SUVs.
