Any good YouTube videos for tips?

Looking for some videos to help me get good. I thought at one point my group completed nightmare. Jumped in this last week after not playing for 9 months and we did not do great on veteran. I want to get good enough to carry if it comes down to it. Also I would like to solo no hope at some point.

I used the YouTuber SwingPoynt, he was an avid back 4 blood content creator that was asked by turtle rock studios to come on board and help develop the game. His videos single-handedly helped all of my runs!

His decks are quite outdated, unfortunately

AsapWinters

Outdated for a game that stopped having updates when he made his last one lol? After he released his “no hope” ready decks nothing ever changed because TR abandoned the game.

menofthesea

He released his last video long before the game stopped receiving updates. And they didn't abandon the game, it was never a live service title so one day they just....finished developing it, and that's fine.

Im not sure of you live under a rock or are choosing to be willfully ignorant but TR absolutely abandoned the game. This was stated across multiple sources including TR themselves because they are a small studio. I played this game on release and had all original completions of nightmare runs before they made nightmare easy and had first completions of no hope runs without youtube help lol. Not sure who you are trying to inform but I have more hours on this game than probably most of this sub combined.

menofthesea

Nah, the game was just done. Could have used one last balance patch but it didn't need more, it was never a live service game set to have updates forever. I also finished nightmare in the first few weeks of the game and finished no hope the day it released lol. I guarantee I know more about this than you do.

NH ready? Sure. People have being finishing NH no card runs already with friends. But NH Quickplay is a different story, and swingpoynt's vids are outdated in this regard. Theres just more way better advice that's come out and accepted now ever since his last vid and the last update came out.

Insetta

Not your runs, he basically saved the game as a whole documenting game mechanics that probably the devs didn't even know about.

Check out the YouTuber SwingPoynt dude has videos breaking down how the game works is every aspect such as:

*Damage scaling: additive or multiplicative damage.

*what cards scale with each other such as medical cards, support types, offensive, ect

*How trauma Damage works

*Cleaners passives he even has a tier list of character. FYI they are all good characters except Evangelo worse character team effects is trash and his personal bonus is useless.... unless your a noob.

Some of his early videos no longer are relevant since game changed a ton from when it was released. SwingPount videos are a good place to start.

menofthesea

Yes evangelo is d tier, holly is c- tier, the game is relatively solved in terms of what cleaners and strat is best. Swing has some good videos on fundamental stuff as you noted but his decks are very outdated

I think he has been helpful. I don’t know which ones are outdated as the newer ones seem like 2024.

The game came out years ago so he hasnt uploaded videos since then. Check out his No Hope Ready Build for a basic rundown on what cards are good in late and higher difficulty.

Also FYI dont stack up on 1 type of damage. For example dont just run weakspot damage cards since they are additive damage. Try and use weakspot, Team damage, weapon type damage, Character damage, and cards that say damage they are all consider different damage type and are multiplicative.

Im pretty sure he has a video talking about " How damage actually works" check that one out.

I did check out the how damage works one. I probably need to watch it paying full attention my attention drifted on that one.
