Anyone with experience with hair growing through their keloids?

I have a big chest keloid that I have been treating with injections on and off again for a couple of years now. I had an injection in September that ended up getting infected. The picture of the keloid infected is from October 22nd. Saw my dermatologist and after squeezing out the pus was prescribed topical antibiotic ointment to rub on the open wound. It’s been a little over a month and I can’t tell if the wound is closed or not. It looks like I have some chest hairs growing through where the infected wound was. Though it also might be a scab, it’s hard for me to tell.

I have a follow up booked in mid December with my dermatologist but wanted to know if anyone else has had experience with hairs going through a keloid like this? My big concern is that the hair has prevented the wound from closing and if I stop with the antibiotic ointment it will get infected again.
