Fatty liver

I am 32 and was told I had little fatty liver. Doctor said to not worry about it to just eat better. That didn’t sit well with me so I insisted to get a Fibroscan of the liver. The results came back to 332 dB/m and 8.8 kPa The doctor said it was within range and to just eat better and go walks/active everyday. Something doesn’t sit right. Like no medicine I was given and just said that. Anyone know of those numbers and have any recommendations on how to lower them? Any supplements or home remedies?
Thanks everyone.

Did you also get bloodwork done? Why did doc suggest fatty liver?

Yes my AST was 41 and my ALT was 27

was everything else normal? if so, I’d take doc’s advice. if not, I’d get a second opinion. Regardless, I’d definitely stay away from supplements that aren’t recommended or prescribed by YOUR physician.

Yes everything else was normal. I was going to look online for supplements but I won’t. Thanks for that advice

No prob. My hepatologist said they can cause liver failure quick so may as well save your money lol. I hope you get to feeling better!

Listen to the doc, just change your diet. Eat clean, no fast food and your liver will recover.

I think the dr is right

Did your doctor give you any guidance on what to eat, and what to eliminate, to improve your liver function?

While you may not need any prescription medication, it would help to support your cellular level of glutathione with bioavailable cysteine.

Glutathione is critical for liver health. That said, oral glutathione and liposomal glutathione are poorly absorbed. N-Acetyl-Cysteine or RiboCeine are bioavailable and will support your liver’s production.

Here to answer any questions. I have a background in clinical research, trained in genetics and nutrition.

No, the doctor did not give any guidance. I did ask but all he said what to walk more and eat better. That was it.

Wow! That is astonishing to me.

I hope you will take some time to do your research. Fatty liver at your age should be taken seriously.

I said “I go to the restroom like 5-7 times a day. At least 3 of those times is loose stole. No blood but still I feel it is not normal.” The doctor said it was normal.

Just to clarify - you are having between 5 to 7 bowel movements a day, and your doctor says that is normal?

How is your blood sugar, HbA1c, or fasting glucose?

A second opinion may be worthwhile.

Diet and exercise are your best friend do both like your liver’s health depends on it (because it does) if all other markers are fine, I wouldn’t worry too much and just start making healthier lifestyle choices

Generally, with liver disease, the meds we take are to control symptoms. I was dx with decompensated cirrhosis but I’m now recompensated and no longer on meds except for carvedilol💚

Your liver is an amazing organ & can get better if you treat it right. The doctors prescription of a healthy diet & exercise is definitely a normal recommendation in your position.

You can put those results into AI and ask it .. but definitely stay on top. Up until recently thre was no meds to treat Nash now called mash. And you were just left to do what the dr told you. And i know of people who went very strict to that and their liver healed. But if you wait to late you will either die or need a liver transplant. So i would get on that plan asap. If you're very obese i have read that the bariatric surgery helped a lot and it could be the game changer to heal your liver.
