Predictions for the plots of each episode
Hey folks. I stumbled across a list for the first 8 episode titles from season 4, so I thought it'd be fun to try to predict what they will be about.
I realise that any of these are unlikely to be competely accurate because I haven't taken into account the season arc from the official website, but it's fun to come up with them anyway. Let me know which you think are closest to the truth! And maybe come up with your own?
Predictions
Twovix: By some horrific accident, Tuvix (from Voyager) somehow re-appears. Probably something to do with a transporter pattern buffer malfunction, maybe they visit Voyager in the starship museum or something. Anyway, he's really amazing and effective and somehow, he becomes an Admiral, despite Janeway's (who makes a cameo) distaste for him.
I Have No Bones Yet I Must Flee: Another sexy ghost episode?
In The Cradle of Vexilon: The ship visits a nebula which turns out to be the nesting ground of a massive interstellar space creature which is made of pure light and they accidentally kill the mother, so they have to raise the baby themselves.
Something Borrowed, Something Green: Tendi's cousin has asked her to be the Orion equivalent of a bridesmaid, and they go on he Orion equivalent of a Hen Do, which is basically a pillaging tour of the alpha quadrant.
Empathalogical Fallacies: Councillor Troi makes a cameo appearance and gets into some kind of trouble with the law.
Parth Ferengi's Heart Place: A Ferengi falls in love with Mariner and tries to win her heart.
A Few Badges More: "Badgey", the anthropomorphised Starlet insignia that Rutherford designed, becomes sentient and tries to take over the Federation by replicating himself in holodecks across the fleet.
Caves: The gang gets stuck in a system of caves during a storm on a planet which is mid-terraform, and discover a previously-uncovered indigenous species which they need to tell the Federation about before the terraforming process gets too underway. With the help of the indigenous species, they are able to find their way out and halt the terraforming.

Let me know what you think! And if you have any ideas of your own :)

Episode 2 might be based on a Harlan Ellison short story 'I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream'
Empathalogical Fallacies might feature the foul-mouthed Betazoid gift box, and there could be a Betazoid wedding happening
Sentient Caves might reveal something about all the crew, not just Mariner

Episode 2's name is at least definitely based on the Harlan story. This could suggest that it is an AI episode.
Also, my favorite is "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place" which is a reference to "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" an extremely weird British horror-parody from the mid-2000s.

I haven't seen that series but maybe I should familiarize myself with it before the episode airs. It looks like Lower Decks is starting to reference a lot more than Star Trek. Becoming less Rick and Morty and more Futurama?

And that would make sense about why it's TWOvix.

I think Ensign Boimler Expy in the zoo episode will either bite the dust like the knights in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the rabbit killed them or he ends up saving the day due to some hidden knowledge about animal behavior. I think "Empathalogical Fallacies" will probably be a T'Lyn vs. Betazoid telepathy rivalry, and I've also heard rumors about Boimler and Rutherford becoming roommates which, if true, could be interesting.

The idea that the first episode is going to be another one focused on the bridge crew instead of the main four is disappointing.
By this point I've just gotten tried of Freeman. After three seasons, the bad captain thing has stopped being funny and is now just grating.
