Youre doing great Mike

Omg it’s Mike! Hi Mike
But yeah it’s needless to be overly critical in a manner that is mean and not constructive

Unless it’s in reference to the referees, because MY GAWD

Nope.

Good on you, but that’s a real problem that they can and seriously need to change. You can either let your voice be heard and get the league to spend more funding training or hiring more quality refs, or be silent and let it be the one thing that continues to seriously mar the quality of the matches

I still don't think it's helpful to be "overly critical in a manner that is mean and not constructive".
The quality of officiating is a real problem and we should complain about it, but the human beings on the pitch aren't the issue, their level of experience and training is. Nobody in any profession deserves to be publicly attacked for their mistakes, especially not in sports, which might be the single lowest stakes environment imaginable.

a healthy reminder that more people than you think might be reading your comments, including players.

If President Biden is reading this comment, yo what up.

Tangential, but the Head of Community features discussing social media, SGs, and gameday experience were particularly interesting parts of the doc to me

Wait does this mean our reddit comments can affect real life? Ok, uh.... the Reign need to sign Chloe Kelly. (🙏)

I mean…how many times have I wished for something to happen during a game and then the manifestation comes true? 😅😆
Doctor_YOOOU
Probably a lot, the Thorns are pretty good lol

“Man i wish Sophia would score aga-wow!”
Lookingfortomboys
Hahaha thanks 😉😆
I just remember how funny it was whenever I’d be like “I want this player to score please” and then she does, and then someone else goes “are you a witch?” 😂

Yeah I definitely felt a little embarrassed like wow Angel City reads our comments? I always assume nobody reads what I put out there which I know is silly because once it’s out in the public, anyone can read them.

You think Angel city would ignore Reddit when u/kn0thing is the lead investor for the team?
Edit: PS, Alexis, if you have notifs on and are reading this, you should do an AMA in the sub!
The middle quote looks to be from this /u/Jalapinho comment made in the "Sydney Leroux Out for Rest of the Season Due to a Stress Fracture" thread from September 2022 (direct link):
Edit: The "Well, crap." comment was made by /u/Mentalfloss1. The first comment was from a deleted user.

Hey I’m famous! Thanks for finding this haha
Edit: I better get a producer credit for this!

Can I just say I love your username

Thank you! I made it my gamer tag back when I was in high school. I thought I was being soooo clever (it’s a twist on jalapeño but using the diminutive “-inho” like Ronaldinho for anyone who doesn’t get it haha). I was told myself that if I ever became a professional soccer player, I would make that my name haha. Sadly being in my 30s now, I think that dream has sailed 😞

Yeah I just revisited that thread because it sounded like something I would casually post but it wasn’t me.
