Sports Business Journal has a quick summary that wasn't paywalled for me. Here are the two key excerpts from SBJ's write-up:

Huffman notes building a $250M stadium as part of Kane Realty’s Downtown South project would “need public support.” [Courage President Francie]  Gottsegen said that “talks with local leaders have been ‘productive,’ but no deals have been announced yet.”

and (emphasis added)

Gottsegen said that the “gap in facilities is starting to have an impact on keeping and acquiring players.” She added that a new stadium would “ideally seat 15,000 and could be expanded if needed.” She projects “around 16 suites, with 10% of the stadium being premium seating.”

Also, here's the official website for the Downtown South development.

Here's a recipe for "Hot Clam Dip" from the late 1970s that's different from the one linked by u/Hangry_Games. This recipe also has cream cheese and slivered almonds. (found using newspapers.com) It looks like this recipe was promoted by Nabisco for its Corn Diggers Popcorn Tastin' Snacks (which looked like extra large corn Chex, but shaped like scoops rather than pillows). It's possible that the recipe was also on a Corn Diggers box.

Hot Clam Dip

  • 1 (8-ounce) can minced clams
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 3 tablespoons sliced green onions [divided]
  • 3 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds

Drain clams, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Beat cream cheese until smooth; add reserved liquid and next three ingredients [cottage cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and horseradish]; blend well. Stir in clams and 2 tablespoons green onions. Spoon into shallow baking dish; cover with aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350 F) 15 minutes, or until heated through. Garnish with remaining green onions and almonds. Serve warm with Corn Diggers Popcorn Tastin' Snacks. Makes about 2-1/3 cups dip.

Here's the recipe, from a March 1972 newspaper article about the winner, Mrs James O'Reilly of La Crescent, Minnesota,

Honey Of An Apple Square

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup grapenut cereal or crushed corn flakes
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup [granulated] sugar
  • 1 teaspoon [baking] soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (2 medium) chopped apples
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg

Syrup

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup [granulated] sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (Lightly spoon flour into cup to measure; level off.) Melt 1 tablespoon butter in 9-inch square or 11x7-inch pan. Stir in nuts and cereal. Spread over bottom of pan.

In large bowl, blend remaining bar ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spoon into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.

In small saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Serve hot syrup over warm bars. Makes 9 to 12 servings.

NOTE: If using Pillsbury's Best Self-Rising Flour, omit soda and salt.

Based on a Google Lens search, the banjo-shaped bottle looks to have been primarily, if not exclusively sold as part of a novelty salt and pepper set.

So, the "Mary Lowell" cap is probably not original. Also, here's a 1967 newspaper article on House of Lowell, Inc., which was a cosmetics company based in Ohio.

It looks as if the envelope is coated or covered with clear plastic. That would make it "nonmachinable" (see USPS Pub. 25, 3-6). Another criteria is if the package is "too rigid" (not flexible enough for the sorting machines).

There looks to be a red "NONMACHINABLE" stamp in the upper center of the envelope, near the "USPS APIs".

The non-machinable surcharge rate is 49 cents. The remaining 4 cents is probably the difference between Etsy's discounted 2oz rate (78 cents for the first ounce + 29 cents for the second ounce) and the retail rate (82 cents for the first ounce + 29 cents for the second ounce).

Not mentioned in the article is that Acuña was relieved of his youth national team coaching duties in 2025 due to an incident during Concacaf U-17 WWC qualifying, after which three players left that camp.

Here's a long-ish article that summarizes the 2025 incident. The primary allegation involved Acuña pulling the hair of a player and verbally taunting her.

Mónica Amaya, Makenna's mother, recounted that after the match against Honduras, her daughter called her crying to tell her what had happened. “She called me and said, ‘Mommy, something happened. Eric pulled my hair, he did it in front of all the girls. And he pulled it hard. I felt like I couldn't do anything.’

Another allegation involved Acuña throwing filled water bottles at players:

According to Mónica's testimony on a radio program, other players have suffered abuse at the hands of Acuña. "Many girls are coming forward saying that he has assaulted them. He has a game. He plays with bottles he fills with water, tells them to run, and then throws them hard and hits them with the bottle."

The address on the back has a "1" after Camden. The "1" is a pre- Zip Code postal code (Wikipedia), so the bottle was likely printed no later than the early 1960s.

it is cast iron

Unless that is a special model, the cooking surface is aluminum. It looks to be either a WSC160X or a WSC165BX, which are both listed as having a 1" thick, aluminum cooking plate. See https://www.waring.com/cook/crepe-makers

If it is aluminum, then do not use products that contain lye (also called caustic soda or sodium hydroxide) to clean the cooking surface, as those will eat away at the aluminum surface.

At this time, the USA U-23s do not participate in any formal* competitions, so there are no restrictions.

During this camp, they will play the Dominican Republic U-23 WNT twice. For those matches, US Soccer and Dominican Republic's federation will have agreed on competition rules (age cutoff, number of over-age players allowed, number of substitutions allowed, et cetera).

*In the past, the U-23s would participate in unofficial tournaments, such as an annual "Nordic Cup", which typically allowed a few over-age players. Currently, a number of European U-23 WNTs participate in an unofficial annual league competition (England's U-23 WNT page).

My grandma still makes waffles on this Sunbeam, and I finally thought to ask her old it was.
...
Does anyone recognize this Sunbeam waffle maker or know roughly when they made these?
Would be nice to give her a decade, at least.

Also, here's a September 1983 Sunday newspaper coupon insert advertising the tin's mail-in offer (newspapers.com). It was 75 cents with the purchase of two eligible products or $3 if only purchased one.

BYU scraped by Minnesota 1-0 on an unusual own goal: The goalkeeper parried a cross right at an attacker (Summers-Oviatt) who is also in the six-yard box. The attacker's shot rebounds hard off the goalkeeper's foot, then bounces off the chest/shoulder of a defender and into the goal.

Here's the court's opinion (PDF file).

These are the opening two paragraphs, which summarize the court's decision:

The central issue in this appeal is whether the parcel of land located in Boston's Franklin Park upon which the George Robert White Fund Memorial Stadium (White Stadium or stadium) was situated is subject to art. 97 of the Amendments to the Massachusetts Constitution, which requires a two-thirds vote of the Legislature to dispose of parkland or convert it to another use.

We first conclude that the plaintiffs have no cognizable individual interest in the George Robert White Fund (White Fund, fund, or trust), and therefore do not have standing to challenge alleged violations of its provisions. Turning then to the main issue in this appeal, we conclude that, although the stadium parcel was originally acquired by the city of Boston (city) by eminent domain for use as a public park, as a result of legislative action in 1947 and 1950, the stadium parcel was thereafter dedicated to another use not subject to the provisions of art. 97. More specifically, in 1947, the Legislature authorized the stadium parcel to be conveyed at fair market value to the White Fund to be used in accordance with the purposes identified in Article Fourteenth of the will of George Robert White, and those purposes were not limited to park use. St. 1947, c. 542, § 1 (1947 statute). And, in 1950, the Legislature recognized and designated White Stadium and the stadium parcel as "a school building and yard," to be repaired and maintained as such through appropriations by the city's school committee. St. 1950, c. 291, § 1 (1950 statute). See St. 1936, c. 224, § 2 (b). Taken together, these two pieces of legislation effectively removed the stadium parcel from its previous designation as parkland and made it a school department facility to be maintained by the school committee. Accordingly, by the time art. 97 was ratified over twenty years later in 1972, the stadium parcel was no longer subject to its provisions. Finally, we conclude that the plaintiffs' challenges to the proposed use of areas within Franklin Park, but outside the stadium parcel, fail. We accordingly affirm the judgment of the Superior Court in favor of the defendants.

Here's the manual: https://download.brother.com/welcome/docp100547/pth103w_use_ug_d02sau001_02.pdf

On Brother P-Touch label printers, setting the margin to "CHAIN" is usually the least wasteful. However for your current use case, u/NotMyAltAccountToday's manual method of spacing will use the least tape.

https://i.redd.it/0467samsn7kh1.gif

The long end margin with the dots seems to be a quirk of Brother's handheld label makers that have manual cutters. In my limited experience, larger P-touch models with automatic cutters are much less wasteful. (Though again, the "CHAIN" margin also has to be used.)
