Goddamn Storylines

I had been planning to move on from Volpe - signed him to this contract when he had 65-70 range and was still a good SS with a league average bat - but he broke his hip this last off season and that finished the job on him defensively, dropped him to 55 range and the 8 months to recover sapped 10 points from all his contact/Babip/Avoid K his Running speed ratings

Can't do it now, though - they'd burn the Stadium down if I tried to get rid of him

Bichette always did this to me in 24. I’d wait for him to be traceable and then he’d fund like the AIDs cure and I’d sign him only for him to immediately fall off.

Your first mistake was keeping volpe entirely 😂

Made sense at the time - he had a run of 3 seasons hitting 270 with 20+ HR and 60+ steals while putting up gold glove caliber defense at shortstop… but then he started falling off when he turned 29

EDIT:

I mean, 6 Gold Gloves at short, 2 All Star games, and 2 rings ain't bad (the red 3 star thing is a Wildcard series MVP, that don't mean shit)
