Doors off urban Jeep ride - September 14th @ 3pm.

TL,DR;

September 14th!
Meet at 3pm at the second avenue parking lot.
1100 Second Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15282

Ride will last about ~90 minutes followed by socializing at Allegheny City Brewing.

With the passing of SB 298 it becomes legal to drive a vehicle designed to have its door removed without the doors (yes it has been illegal up until now). SB 298 goes into effect September 13th.

To celebrate I am planning an Urban Jeep ride in association with the South West Pennsylvania Jeep Brigade, to do a relaxing ride around the city without doors!

Jeep and Bronco drivers are welcome, honestly if you want to just show up in a different vehicle with doors on it, I'm not gonna stop you.

If you don't have a door-less vehicle but want to ride in one, I'll have space in my back seat you are welcome to jump into.

Event will be cancelled in event of bad weather because that defeats the point of riding around the city with doors off it is isn't nice out.

The plan is to hit some interesting sites, so, people new to the city, you are likely to see new things.

Kick ass, I knew about the prohibition, but didn't know this bill was in the works. A little pissed they were specific enough that I can't just Mad Max my Chevy, lol. Have fun, you guys must be pumped.

it's funny because I did not know it was a thing.

Only when I joined a Jeep group did I learn of it, and it seems its only Mount Lebanon and Castle Shannon that go out of their way to enforce it, around here anyway.

I've been taking my doors off on nice days since I got my jeep.
