What firmware version to use with XM4 earbuds?

I recently received a replacement pair of XM4's after making a warranty claim with Sony. The earbuds came with firmware version 2.0.0 installed, however, the app is saying version 2.1.0 is available.

I know there are issues with some of these versions and over-charging. What firmware version should I be on, and should I continue to upgrade over time as new versions become available?
