Paint stripping a Storm Eagle

Hey folks, bit of a wierd problem. I'm very familiar with how to strip paint off resin in order to repaint it but this is the first time I've had a model this big. Usually I'm just doing infantry. But I have a Storm Eagle that I want to repaint for my World Eaters but I'm not entirely sure how to go about stripping the current paint off simply due to the shear size of the model. Do I simply have to go out and buy a bucket in order to submerge the model in Simple green or Dettol.

Any advice highly appreciated, thanks.

Unless you can disassemble the model, a bucket should be next on your shopping list

I'd agree on any model other than a Storm Eagle/Fire Raptor.

Nothing is worth going through the pain of re-assembling that monstrocity.

Try using biostrip and 'painting' it on with a cheap but large brush.

Be advised that alcohol, as contained in Dettol (to my knowledge), can have harmful effects on Forgeworld resin, turning it rubbery, forever.

Short exposure shouldn't be an issue, but soaking it in alcohol for prolonged periods is a bad idea.

Biostrip20 if you can get it.

LA totally awesome from the dollar tree store will remove the paint and not damage the resin.

Long exposure to dettol will 100% turn FW resin rubbery. I know from first hand experience.

I'd only ever recommend a few hours exposure maximum and never ever leave it overnight.

Certainly recommend biostrip20 as well 👍
