If anyone in our guild complains about PI and we don't "need" it for progression it goes to the tanks or it'll be intentionally used a few seconds before a boss becomes unforgettable just to fuck with people.

Yes No Maybe,

I don't know.

It's Malcolm in the Middle for those that don't get the reference

Attic studios at BlackStaff mill in Belfast should be reasonably cheap to rent out by the hour.

They're not soundproof but there'll be enough noise coming from the rest of them that it shouldn't matter too much

He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, that's what Brian Altano'd do!

I picked a hell of a year to visit my cousin in Japan and go to Wrestle Kingdom :)

Ahh yes, the "What a maneuver!"

Engineering was once useful for RWF (Raszageth pushback in DF) and this mistake could not be repeated

Part of the strat for grouping the adds together in Phase 2 of Fyrakk was for everyone in the raid to level up BFA engineering to craft the knockback belt attachment so the adds could be pushed together. https://www.wowhead.com/item=153592/belt-enchant-personal-space-amplifier

It was genuinely the most insane thing I think I've seen since following the RWF

Hey,

When I roast a chicken I usually place it in a roasting tray with onions and carrots and then use the juices from the tray to make gravy but the veggies usually don't get eaten. I've recently started throwing the carcass into the slow cooker overnight with water, a different onion, carrots, bay leave etc etc to make stock.

What I'm wondering is should I use the onions and carrots that were roasted with the chicken in the stock rather than cutting up fresh ones?

Malkalen

OH!

I misread that story a few days ago and thought he was the one that took out the restraining order.

Malkalen

I was gonna say that was Black Snow but I forgot that he left shortly before Booker T made his entrance into the ring.

The NXT Parking lot is like that weird zone in the US where technically no laws apply.

I got sent one with my first order. Changed pharmacy twice to take advantage of deals but neither of them sent me one.

Will never forget seeing this match 2 days after getting to see PAC vs Ospreay at RevPro.

PAC breaks his finger near the start of the match, pops it back into place himself and continues the rest of the match as if nothing happened.

I have a stack of 50 Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit in my bags. Got them from the free TCG stuff you used to get in Collector's editions for WOTLK and Cataclysm

Orange Order will want to be marching over it any day now.

I remember buying Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, a really bad game but I was like 10/11 so I liked it, and wondering why despite the fact it ran "fine" there was big black boxes around certain things in the world.

For example your character model would be absolutely fine, but the lightsaber would have it's blue blade with a black 2d box around it instead of whatever effects were supposed to be around it. Smoke would appear in the game as a chain of small clouds...and again each one would have a black square around it.

It was wierd and looked bad but the game was still playable so I just kinda rolled with it :D

After he left WWE I remember chatting with folks wondering which promotions were gonna be the first to try and book PAC vs Will Ospreay and PAC vs WALTER as the 2 biggest stars on the European Indies at the time. Me and friends bought tickets and flights to London as soon as PAC vs Ospreay was booked by Revpro and then 2 days later we saw him again in Dublin against WALTER where he broke his finger (legit) mid match and simply popped it back into place and carried on the match.

Insane talent and dude will be sorely missed. RIP Bastard

Malkalen

Personally I'd go 2 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 5 but I know I'm in the majority for really liking season 2 so much. Season 3 is spectacular though.

That's said there's not a bad season, just ones I prefer less.

Spoony's retrospective is a much more emotional tale of what those games means to him as he grew up. Both sets of videos covers the games in very different ways and they really complement each other.

I don't drive, I don't currently attend school and I'm employed so I don't need universal credit.

I'm still very happy to pay for roads, schools and social security.

It's deathwatch themed so it'll be Xenos

I don't deny that I can write all these tests myself and for the last couple of sets I have done and it's a lot of copy/paste and find/replace but it's still incredibly tedious and Copilot can produce in 1-2 minutes what takes me 2-3 hours overall. Some of our more complex mappings involves 25-30 top level properties and 4-5 collections that all need to be tested both ways.

2/3 - So we want the tests done first so that we actually have a full set of unit tests for the existing functionality to verify against. So the general structure is (for a very simple example)

  [Test]
  public void Map_Model_To_Message_Should_Map_All_Destination_Properties() {
    var source = new Model {
      Reference = "REFERENCE",
      State = JobState.Active
    };

    var result = mapper.Map<Message>(source);

    Assert.AreEqual(source.Reference, result.Reference);
    Assert.AreEqual(source.State, result.State);
  }

This way we have a full set of tests that verify that everything works correctly and then we just need to swap out

var result = mapper.Map<Message>(source);

with

var result = ModelMappingHelper.ToMessage(source);

once we've written our own mapping functions. There's other tests already written that handle the logic that uses the mapped models/messages on both sides. I have actually found some examples of things that probably should map over but just don't...but nothing uses those fields so no one realised.

Again, there's nothing complicated or difficult involved in anything here. It's just tedious and boring.

Malkalen

We're currently in the process of replacing Automapper across our entire application suite which means

  1. Write unit tests to confirm existing functionality (Yes i know but they were never written the first time around)

  2. Replace Automapper with static function calls

  3. Update unit tests to use new mapper

Copilot means I can do in a few hours what would have taken me days of testing every property for every mapping and then writing a new mapper for every mapping...and I know this having run out of tokens between applications and despite the first app being significantly larger and more complex I was able to get it done in a fraction of the time the current app is taking me.

It's not difficult work (aside from a few wierd collections) but dear god is it long and tedious.
