River Diving Accident - Who's at fault?

I feel like I'm the one at fault here - I really do, but I also find it hard to get over the fact that Strv 103B took such a sharp and IMO selfish turn without any consideration for others around them.
I even typed in chat that I'm trying to spot the coast early, which would (hopefully) imply letting me go first, especially since I was the only light in the team and needed every second I could get to reach the target bush as soon as possible, minimizing the risk of being spotted.

What do you guys think?

UPDATE:
I checked their profile, and they (Strv 103B) only have 41 battles and play only a couple of games every few days. I feel so bad now. I think I should take full responsibility for what happened and drive less aggressively in the future - and not expect everyone to always do the most optimal or reasonable thing.

Contact insurance let them sort it out

Don't do that, as it'll end up in court, and then only the lawyers end up winning.

It's the game physics. none of you could properly steer. He, because you bumped into him at his front, and you because you lifted your left side slightly due to some uneven terrain right at the corner. Both of you had too slow reactions to stop, probably because you initially thought you could still steer. I'd call it an accident.

TypicalHog [OP]

I think the physics are fine, but I agree with the rest.

Powerful-Jury3055

I am not saying it's a problem. If you lift one side of your vehicle slightly into the air, you cannot steer properly anymore. That's just how it works and as your skill increases you're going to notice these bumps and take counter measures before hitting them or even use them to your advantage.

I'm sorry, but that was too funny lol!

Looks like both of you are just too busy getting into position and just derped up.

TypicalHog [OP]

That's exactly what happened, haha!

The guy in front was already steering left, plus he doesnt have mirrors, so he couldnt see you coming earlier to give way. Most importantly, you dive into his turn. Only smart guy was the one hitting the brakes. The guy who also drowned could have hit the brakes, but I don't blame him, he tried to steer and we'll it didn't work out.

You shouldn't have tried to overtake him there in the first place. If he doesn't give you enough space, you don't give him spots. Easy as that.

George russel plays wot?

Territ0rialPisser

What a f#cking idiot, he just have turned into me!

Light should be let thru, but I would blame all of you bc none of you even tried to stop

TypicalHog [OP]

Reasonable.

Lights should always have the right of way. You block your scout in the beginning you shoot yourself in the foot. Strv is to blame here. He's probably a zero experience 2.0 player.

TypicalHog [OP]

I agree. But can we really blame Strv when they only have 41 battles? If they had 4.1k battles and still did that - that's when I would blame them personally.

Stig12Cz

both you and Strv as neither of you hit breaks to stop

and why the hell you have bino and not optics?

TypicalHog [OP]

I rock binos since my plan is (was) to sit in E8 island bush and not move a muscle.

I agree with this, +1 second to a LT is a bigger gain than what -1 second loss is to a TD. IMHO at least.
Like... when we look at it purely from the angle of what's better for the team as a whole.

You, because of two things:

  1. You always have to assume your teammates have no idea what they are doing. Never assume they will help you, or even be aware of your presence. Something like 10-15% of players play with the MINIMAP COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. Assume everyone around you is in that 10-15%, unless you have good information otherwise

  2. You are the only one in charge of your tank. He did show he was going to be turning left @20s when he steers left. As the faster vehicle, it is your job to maneuver around the slower tanks. Yes, optimally they should be aware and always give the LT a way through at start of game, but refer to part 1. Brake, go around them the long way, and lose that 4s of spotting time instead of killing yourself off a ledge

Kyrotheus

This !

TypicalHog [OP]

Yeah, I agree with this.

Ok_Basket536

Id say the STRV 100%. Im tired of dumbass triangles who rush in front and block light tanks just so they can sit in the redline anyways. Then they get pissed off when the light tanks dont get to important positions in time.

You should have known better though, especially if you play lights alot.

TypicalHog [OP]

Bro has 41 battles tho. I have 350x more. I think this one's on me.

all of you,
