Ow. Isn't it surprising how well it was implemented in Smash? Albeit, I haven't played any Persona games.

In Smash the AOA is much faster. In previous games (3 and 4) the AOAs were 4 portraits of the characters (5 if you get the rise buff) and then they run in and beat the shit out of the enemies comically. It’s a lot more stylish in 5. And 2 and 1 didn’t really have AOAs they had Fusion Spells.

I honestly can't speak for the whole fanbase, but the Persona ppl I have interacted with were fine, it was the SMT fanbase that was super jaded. Especially since the Switch SMT is still in limbo since it's announcement years ago. I understand their feelings, and it can be quite comical. Bit I would hape the Persona fanbase wouldn't be as toxic...but who knows nowadays (looks at how polarized the Final Fantasy fanbase has become)

I wouldn't think so, I think that's more SMT's fanbase than anything, the community I've seen in the persona 5 subreddit at least are pretty welcoming, not sure about the persona subreddit though.
Edit: actually I take that back, the p5 subreddit comments seem to be ass

There is a decent amount of people in the discord, and a few (2 maybe 3) of the active users are currently playing it. So it comes up with the "how is everyone" and other small talk. Not going into in-depth conversations every day.
