What are some movies that delve into dark underworld settings?

Hey guys,

having just finished watching 8mm - and being surprisingly on edge watching it - I was wondering if there are any other movies in the same vein that deal with depraved and sleazy underworld settings. From the top of my head, Seven comes to mind, as well as the video game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, if any of you are familiar with that.

And other suggestions for a dark thriller night?
