Northern Michigan - BEACH

Please help point me in the right direction... I am looking for a beach in (Traverse City, Torch Lake or surrounding areas) for my family to stay in - husband and a 4 yr old.

What part of Michigan to stay in this summer with a beach nearby for sun bathing and playing in the water?

Looking for a beach that is beautiful and picturesque!

Any ideas where to stay close by in Frankfort where beach is walkable?

There are hotels and bed and breakfast spots on and close to the beach but its cold there usually 10f colder than the surrounding areas

Only 3 options one is a resort https://harborlightsresort.net/, Hotel https://www.thehotelfrankfort.com/ or Travel sites. Heck maybe even google maps.

Elk Rapids or Charlevoix

Northport, Petoskey? Maybe not as accessible for walking distance. TC itself also has a lot of airbnbs that are walking distance

Traverse City has a number of beaches and many hotels with direct access to the beach. From the Traverse City State Park North to Acme there are new places like the Alexandra or larger resort style properties. Elk Rapids has one hotel and a number of rentals and is a beautiful beach, the entire area is beautiful and the beaches mentioned by others are great.

Second the Elk Rapids/Charlevoix vote.
