What is a fair age handicap at Scrabble?
Our six year old just beat us with a double point handicap so I was wondering if there was an official handicap

Just play a few "test games" The difference should become apparent. Set the handicap at the difference between each player's average score. That way when player A has an "above average" game for them and player B has a "below average" game, the winner is player A.
Some kids are beasts at scrabble while I know adults that have a hard time making it to 200.

It should be based on a rating rather than age, though personally am not a fan of handicaps
open dictionary is my favourite handicap. down side is you have to be patient while they look up words.
