I started using Metricool a couple years ago and haven’t felt the need to try anything else.
|| || |Honestly, Gudsho and Buffer are both solid. Each has its strengths, so it’s worth testing both to see which fits your workflow better.| || ||
Im building my own lol
I think it depends on your needs, but Metricool is cool (lol) and enough for what I need
+ they have a super helpful live chat with humaans
I've tried most of the major ones over the past few years, here's my honest take:
Hootsuite - Most feature-rich but honestly overkill for most people. The UI feels cluttered and it's expensive ($99+/month). Only worth it if you're managing 10+ accounts for an agency.
Later - Great for visual planning, especially Instagram. The drag-and-drop calendar is smooth and the preview feature is solid. Pricing is fair ($25-80/month). Best for content creators who care about aesthetics.
Metricool - Underrated IMO. Does basically everything Buffer does but adds competitor analysis and better analytics. Pricing is reasonable ($18-149/month).
Honest comparison to Buffer: Most alternatives have similar scheduling features, but where they ALL fall short is predictive analytics. They show you what happened, but none of them tell you what WILL perform well before you post.
I actually switched to Wave Vision which focuses on AI-powered predictions instead of just scheduling. It analyzes your past posts, tells you what's likely to go viral, and gives specific recommendations (like "your audience engages 3x more at 8pm" or "your behind-the-scenes content outperforms tutorials 2.5x").
The big difference is it's personalized to ur audience patterns, not just generic "best practices." At $37/month it's cheaper than most scheduling tools, and honestly way more useful. I'd rather know WHAT to post than just have a fancy calendar to schedule mediocre content.
Most scheduling tools are basically the same - drag content to a calendar and post it. Wave Vision actually tells you which content will perform before you waste time creating it. The AI video analysis breaks down exactly why a post succeeded or flopped, down to the hook, pacing, and CTA.
If you just need basic scheduling, Buffer is fine. But if you want to actually grow and understand what content works for YOUR specific audience, Wave Vision is the move. It's what Buffer should have been if they focused on growth instead of just organization.
What's your main goal, just managing posting schedules, or actually improving performance?
