This pepper is used mostly dry in Macedonia. We dry them on a string on our balcony and add them to stews and soups. After you boil the peppers and they soften you can scoop the inner part and add it back to your stew. In Macedonia there is a spicy and non spicy variety of rezha pepper. The spicy ones can be added to salads. You can also grill them whole then add a mix of olive oil, apple vinegar, minced fresh garlic and parsley on top. Hope you can enjoy them better next time :)

My grandma in Macedonia grows these peppers, we call them vezeni piperki or in translation engraved peppers. They are usually used after being dried and hung on a string on our balcony. There are a few ways to use them in dishes. You can add them to any soup you’re making, and once they’re cooked, cut the pepper open, scoop out the soft inner part, and add it back to the soup.

Gravče Tavče is a bean dish that uses these peppers. We also make makalo, which is made with potatoes, leeks, and boiled rezha peppers—super tasty with sourdough bread.

The last time I was in Macedonia, my grandma gave me a bunch of rezha peppers, and I managed to bring them to the USA. I hope to grow them next year and dry them myself. I am very happy to see that people outside of Macedonia know about them and are growing them. :)

I used to use Buffer for few years and recently started using Viraly.io I found it more accurate in posting on time, good editor for photos and videos and simple UI when posting on many social platforms. And the most important better price for what you get.

These look so good, I have to try the recipe.

My favorite is Viraly.io. I started using it a few months ago, and it has been good so far. The posting time is faster than the other ones I used to use before, and it has very detailed Instagram analytics if that is important to you.

Napoli sauce contains peppers too. They are very similar :)
