I'm an adult now (omg), less time playing games, overtime it's starting to get less exciting about video games. but when I buy, you know damn well I'm gonna play that shit just to feel so money is well spent (unless during steam sales), pirate games could always play it later, and then forgotten, then the cycle continue.

i'm noticing in prior update (1.3.4), sometimes opening the app still feeling sloweness, and now i think the issue was fixed in 1.4.0? if it was, thanks again!

this looks really cool, it has a lot of customization i wanna try it, but my phone just couldn't detect me tapping and i don't know why, i have Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, it did have native back tapping feature, i make sure to disabled that to prevent conflict, so here's what i did:

enabled one, double and triple tap, enable accessibility, turn sensitivity to extreme, ensuring no ignore or protection settings enabled, turn off battery optimization, and even go through advance calibration (during calibration, it detects me tapping).

i'm at lost here; the app just couldn't detect it and i need help. or am i forgot to setup something? i'll provide more details when asked.

I viewed lots of pdf files on messaging apps. I noticed that 'open with' this pdf viewer is slow and very noticeable compared to other pdf apps. improving it is very much appreciated!

this might be my go-to app for opening pdf files. but I notice that when I zoom in extremely, the text becomes blurry, at which wasn't meant to happen in PDF's vector text. I was wondering if it was for optimizing purposes?

I'm sorry, you fall for my sarcastic answer.

Look, my guide is for extreme cases, it's not recommended, only for someone who really knows what they were doing. it's at the point of diminishing returns, sacrificing a lot and only gaining a little.

if you still intend to follow my guide, look for the FrameSync Lab youtuber and other content, or AI if you prefer but never use a fast answer. it's rabbit hole complicated, and I want you to be able to research on your own.

assuming the AtlasOS wasn't enough, with your current hardware and with no overclocking;

• updates all the drivers to the latest.
• use NVcleanstall to install/update GeForce driver, you might also want to experience which GeForce driver version benefits the most fps.
• nuke all the security! remove windows defenders and disable all kinds of security mitigation.
• make it as dumb as possible! striping windows core features like removing the printer, bluetooth driver, Windows Store, Game Bar, Microsoft Edge, WebView2, etc.
• removes unnecessary task schedulers,
• The less third party software the better.
• do not use any in-game overlay.
• go to your windows, GeForce and drivers control panel and tweak power settings to disable all kinds of power saving features, also don't forget the BIOS setting as well, I'm talking about using as much electricity as possible! (not overclock)

as you might've guessed, it's highly not recommended, but it's possible if you want to go that far.

first, basic answer: yes, after Installation. You can still tweak/change the power setting and perform windows updates (re-apply playbook afterwards), you can chose not to remove any windows security during setup, I did not try any dual boot so I don't know if you can still do that after setup. you may try not to format, but it's recommended because it might introduce bugs depends of how many tweaks you already done prior AtlasOS installation.

now here's the truth: since you used IOT and also tried Linux, I don't think AtlasOS could help your thermal issue. because it's a Windows 11 with lots of background processes stripped and other stuff. you might have a lower temp at idling, and experience better performance at work or game and that's it.

here's what I'm solving thermal issue: * tweak/force the fan spin earlier and faster through third party software such as FanControl. * Underclock the performance, use TrottleStop to lower the CPU and GPU voltage, stress test it. when successful, lower and test again until it becomes unstable. You can lower the frequency to get back stable and continue to lower it further.

it's a marketing lie about advertising a compact laptop with great performance at a great price is very common, I would prefer a heavy (bigger cooler) laptop if performance is a priority.

to answer your question: * reinstalling brand new windows is HIGHLY recommended, you may try to ignore and skip it but stability may vary ranging from mildly UI bugs to slooow to the crawl due to the corrupted system. * no, it won't delete your already existing files but you are about to make major changes and tweaks in OS level, BACKUP your drive, in case the whole system goes down hill.

Epic mega rich corps are hypocrites at bragging about don't wanna take 30% cut, so they did this messy side load stuff. on the other hand; google play store filled with adware and malware so much that need a serious topic on its own. ain't no way I'm gonna defend both of em is what I'm saying.
