Reddit is swamped with these kinds of garbage posts. They all follow the same method.
some of them do have sources to back up the claims, but then they will AI generate an image for it that no one actually needs. Then they add text at the bottom with specific words in a different color.
I dont know what the original story on this one is about, but is the fact that china is "working" on something constitute news? did JJ Abrams do the lens flare?

They look like heavily manipulated real photos to me. Maybe composites of several photos. From a composition standpoint, I'll just say that when everything "pops" nothing pops.

I've tried stuff like this before, and while the shapes can be created in Illustrator, the look of the blending modes are really helped by moving to photoshop and preferably in 16-bit color.
