If the brass case makes it into the chamber even slightly it will bite down on the bullet preventing clean release when you fire the round. If that happens it’s going to cause a massive pressure spike. It’s not likely but it is possible.

I wouldn’t fire it. Remember that headspace is set on the case mouth. The ejector may continue pushing your case past that point. Yours is crimped so far in that it’s possible your case will go in too far and cause high pressure if your brass case is into the rifling.

If you brush your case necks with a well used case neck brush the carbon particles will “lubricate” the case necks. It’s a minor problem at best unless you’re a competitive shooter in which case you won’t have year old cartridges.

Use published load data. Period. Some cartridges have reduced recoil data and some don’t. Loading below the minimum isn’t as dangerous as going over but that doesn’t mean it’s safe.

In the process of doing something similar. I’m using a 90 grain Berger BT Target bullet out of a suppressed AR15. Leverevolution gives good velocity and accuracy but damn it’s dirty. I have a lot of 8208 because I use it in 6.5 Grendel.

I’m not sure you’ll get the best results with that weight bullet. Barnes monolithic bullets work best at high velocities. You can probably get good accuracy and penetration but you won’t get the best expansion. Those are better suited for the .30 caliber magnum calibers. If you’re wanting to use a solid copper bullet I’d use something closer to 150 grains.

Most sizing dies are designed to touch the shellholder, then tighten slightly more. It’s called cam over. Using a comparator gauge like you are, I touch the shellholder, back off slightly and size, measure, tighten until I push the shoulder back .002. That me slightly MORE than touching the shellholder depending on your rifles chamber, brass and die itself. I don’t have any Hornady dies because I hate them. Hopefully you have better luck.
