I've never known anyone to sell food stamps to pay bills. To buy drugs/liquor/smokes, yes - but not to pay rent/electric bills. I knew one woman that sold her food stamps because she "didn't cook and had to sell them to buy her McD's".

I just posted a bit more about it and included the link to Guitarix.

When my amp modeling pedal died, I was looking for something to replace it temporarily and I remembered I had some Pis and a touchscreen in my project bin. This is the end result, running Guitarix on a RPi 4B. It works great!

It runs Trixie and uses Pipewire and pipewire-jack, and at 128 samples/period, there's no latency that I can hear. It's like suddenly owning hundreds of amps, cabinets, and pedals!

Guitarix isn't really suited to the touchscreen, so to dial in tones I ssh into the Pi and run it remotely on my main computer. My next task is to work out "playlists" of presets and to jump to the next mby tapping the touchscreen in "live" mode. That'll be a bit tough to handle playing live, so a MIDI pedal of some sort seems to be in my future.

I had a website for decades devoted to TFT and other Metagaming games. I managed to collect the whole set, including Stellar Conquest (both versions).

WarpWar may still be my favorite space game ever. So much fun for $2.95!

My copy of Ogre came in a plastic bag. I got most of those Metagaming microgames when they first came out.
