i think you are arguing with a bot because nobody could be as stupid as this person is.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

i remember being disgusted at the 24 hour tv coverage - often playing on TVs at restaurants. i remeber looking around at people eating meals while watching bombings and thinking we, as a country, had seriously lost a part of our humanity.

i think what they mean is that it is depressingly low because it is so demonstrably obvious how bad the GOP is failing everyone in the united states (and abroad, but that is besides the point for voters). there literally should be nobody voting republican. none! i get maybe there are some who won't ever vote democrat (for some reason) but those people should just abstain instead of perpetuating a failed party. maybe a complete annihilation, as graham said for following trump, would get the party off the trump/fascist kool-aid and back to their roots (i doubt it, but at least that makes sense as a narrative).

but some won't just walk away or cast a ballot for democrats. some will vote GOP against their own interests. some will choose culture wars over the value of democracy. the fact that only 78% of people would stand up to the modern day GOP's party based solely on billionaire and foreign interests is...depressingly low.

since everyone seems to publicly support this...why don't we have it?

no, we need to drop the tariffs and stop the war.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

and how much are our copays? you add that into the taxes we pay and we're actually above other countries in pay deductions.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

many humans really aren't that far from dumb animals and cannot take any clues from context.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

are you serious? he's not a sexual predator the same way michael jackson wasn't a pedo.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

so you're just spamming this post everywhere i guess.

people should downvote these karma farmers.

OH is a red state and i don't know what they need to hear to realize the billionaire class HATES them and sees the general public like insects.

and yes - the billionaire class and data center builders are  right leaning, not left, regardless whatever the political commercials say.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

have you said thank you once?

2ManyCatsNever2Many

actually - at this point, i want watson to play the home opener. if this coach / front office / ownership (put the blame wherever you want) is trotting out this has-been rapist and forcing us watch his shitshow for a couple weeks, the least they can do is man up and take our collective boos at the opener's introduction.

2ManyCatsNever2Many

what are you even talking about? when you say "Everyone who has used the internet in the past year has had some shitty ai they didn't want to use bullshit and gaslight them, then had some cultist tell them they just were", do you mean crappy AI generated articles or content on sites visited or going to something like gemini.google.com? i agree there are (too) many bad implementations of AI where people spin up some dumb site which is obviously written by AI -- but that is completely different than going to an AI service (gemini, claude, whatever) and having your own targeted "conversation" on whatever is on your mind. that second use case, which is truly what AI is for, is incredibly helpful.

you must not have watched this weekend's game.

watson is what he is - he's started only 2 more games than fellow rapist ben rothlisberger since the start of the 2021 season. while his body has broken down - it is his mental game that is absolutely cooked.

sanders is, at worst, no worse. people have written him off based on last year which was a complete clusterfuck of a season. it's naive to think he would 't get better and given the lack of attention he got last year (which was fair, he was 3rd on the depth chart and drafted in the 5th) didn't do him any favors for getting prepared to start. not saying he's the future of the franchise but there is no reason to be starting a washed watson over an unexplored sanders...just doesn't make sense (unless you're haslam and you just continue to double down on bad decisions).

throughout history, there have been two reliable methodologies for quickly raising large groups of people:  * religious pressure: do as your god asks and heaven awaits, ignore him and be condemned  * slavery: do as your told or you will be punished

2ManyCatsNever2Many

i've been saying it over and over - watson has started only two more games than (fellow rapist) ben rothlisberger since the start of the 2021 season (ben retired after that).

people can rightfully question watson's physical attributes after all the injuries but what is even more clear is that he lost the mental aspect of being an NFL qb long ago. in camp, where he won't get hit, he might look good but that is all a mirage - the second a real pass rush comes at him, he folds.

he is not an NFL qb. hasn't been for a long time.

i can't exactly answer this question but i'm reading a very interesting book - empires of the sea by roger crowley. it chronicles the battles in the mediterranean in the 1500s between christian and turkish empires. one of the points the book makes is how for warfare, oared boats were still preferred at that time and the oarsman, most often (from both sides) slaves, were basically used as "fuel" - driven hard and tossed aside when spent. the raiding fleets in many cases plundered the coastal areas for slaves just to keep the boats going (kind of like a self-fulfilling need). in the book, at least in the 1500s, crowley does say that more europeans were taken as slaves (for turkish vessels) than africans were sent to the new world (which north america and the colonies didn't ramp up chattel slavery until the mid-1600s but many of the spanish-controlled caribbean areas were). i'll be clear and say the book does not go into the 1600s and make comparisons for that era.

i don't think any of this matters until both players face a real pass rush. watson has been banged up and only played two more game than (fellow rapist) ben rothlisberger since the beginning of the 2021 season (where ben retired after that). 4 hasn't been in many real pressure positions for a long time and those he did, he generally failed at. he's always looked fine in camp - maybe he should find a flag football league to join.

yeah, whatever. keep living in your mom's basement, kid.

people seem to hate AI for some reason but here you go:

You are completely right to raise that number— $88.78 million was widely reported by Pro Football Talk (Mike Florio) after reviewing NFLPA records showing cap line-items from 2024 through 2029.
However, the confusion comes down to how those line items are read versus how much money was actually paid out.
Here is why the initial $88 million headliner got revised down to around $25.8 million in net cash/cap relief: 1. The Multi-Year Accounting Spread (Double-Counting) When an insurance payout occurs on a contract that has been restructured into multi-year bonus proration, the cap credit gets spread over the remaining years of the deal. Initial reports summed up every future ledger entry—adding the 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 credit allocations together into one $88.78M sum. However, follow-up analysis from cap experts revealed that because of the Browns’ annual restructures, the same insurance event shows up as repeated future proration credits across several league years rather than $88 million of distinct, brand-new money.
2. Insurance Deductibles & Policy Limits Watson’s $230 million contract was fully guaranteed, but insurance companies never insure 100% of a massive deal: The policy had strict deductible thresholds (e.g., missing at least 6 consecutive games). It covers a percentage of specified base compensation during injury periods, not the total contract value. The Bottom Line: If you see headlines referencing $88 million, they are counting every prorated credit entry listed on the NFLPA ledger through 2029. In terms of actual financial relief applied to reduce Watson's total dead cap hit, the real number boils down to roughly $25.8 million.

(also my mistake - $17M was in 2028 with $8M in 2027 for $25M total)

you're not supposed to point that out.
