It’s a reference to the fact that anti-communist “socialists” have a pretty consistent history of siding with fascists against revolutionary socialists (communists), presumably because they’re foolish enough to uncritically believe all the untruthful bullshit that fascists tell them to believe about communism and communists.
It happened in Germany in the decades leading up to WW2, and it’s starting to happen again throughout the NATO West.
If you like learning about history, you should give THIS a quick read. It’s a propaganda speech about Bolshevism which was delivered by the infamous Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, back in the mid 1930’s. As you read it, compare it to all the anti-communist rhetoric that we’re constantly exposed to here on Reddit these days.
