u posted this in english and also said "WE feel entitled". speak for yourself and stop spewing unnecessary hate and problems.

condragulations!!!

would you know how they manage images of the IDF in women's underwear? there's a lot of images circulating of such incidents, how is that dealt with?

it's a parody of an actual arab song called the arabian dream, it's similar to "we are the world" with multiple arab singers.

saint henri is bad? does that include the area close to the canal and atwater market? sorry kinda still new to mtl

i had a similar thing and let them in a multiple times. Usually, they're accompanied by someone from the condo board and in my approval email I always mention that they need to close the door properly etc.

i posted something similar contemplating between Verdun and Mile End, but it didn't get posted for some reason :(

i will just say based on experience, it highly depends on what you're looking for. i am 3 months short of completing one year in Montreal. for the first month i stayed in Corporate Stays apartment at Le V, paid by my company and it is super close to downtown and tow metro lines. i ended up eventually moving to Shaughnessy Village, which is 100% convenient but not a nice area to stay in, like there's no nice sceneries, parks or coffee shops.

hence, i am contemplating moving to Mile End or Verdun since i heard they have what i am looking for. other options include Le Plateau, St. Henri/Le Sud Ouest, Little Italy.

hey, when does the 6 months start? is it when you first move to quebec?

32px

regardless of how long it took to fix it? five months is a lot

32px

sounds like it, I will try to get further confirmation, but i hope that's the case. thank you :)

32px

yes, but i think Saudi is open with that since my friend travels there alone. I think i just wanted to clarify whether a sponsor needs to accompany the person they're sponsoring.

32px

no its not about that, just wondering since he is sponsoring my visa, does that mean he has to travel with me?

32px

that's so nice of you both!! wish you all the best and stay safe :)

32px

ooh that's good, thanks for letting me know!! :)

32px

not where i was. you enter university with an access card and as a visitor you need to have a reason to enter and you should leave your ID at the security/reception desk!

32px

you can access university libraries even if you're not a student? that's interesting

hi i am new here too and was overthinking buying boots. i just went to brown's on st. catherine and saw two waterproof boots tried them and got whatever looked good i wanted something that was aesthetic. it was between uggs and sorel. my uggs are warm and very comfy too :)

my friends recommended i check globo in eaton centre, they have winter boots and are very well priced.

hi, i am sorry this happened to you. i honestly don't speak french yet, but have been getting around easily. you can politely mention that you don't speak, and ask if the person serving you speaks english. this is a stretch, but i'll just translate the menu if it's in french instead of risking it (in case you're allergic).

also old montreal/old port is very touristy, so there should be an abundance of anglophones in restaurants to serve.

i hope you come back and have a more pleasant experience :(

hey, do you know whether rollerblading can be transferred to ice skating? i don't know either (nor riding a bike) and was wondering if it's the same technique for both. also, thanks for the initiative, sounds really fun, wish i had the courage to join.

32px

oh that's good, thanks for letting me know :)

32px

still open and it's super good!

i liked uniburger so much, but was walking past the old port branch and saw a small rat through the window and now i can never eat from there. i know there are probably worse places, but ignorance is a bliss.

he actually wrote the deposit in the lease, so i have a proof plus the transfer proof. he is super nice so i think i'll just ask him directly. thanks a lot!
